For the Time Has Come!
4 Words in 1
God Knows the Truth
Here is something you should boast about and be confident in; God knows the truth about you way before anyone else does.
It will only take certain circumstances and situations for the truth about you to be made known and revealed.
Sometimes it is after you have been criticized and hated that the truth about you will be revealed but can I tell you?
You would have already grown strength through it. You would have become so much stronger and wiser.
You would have already realized who is and is not for you. It does not matter what people say about you. It does not matter the lies told on you. It does not matter who is standing against you.
It does not matter who comes against you.
Be still, even through the pretense and hypocrisy you will be able to recognize the snakes and fakes.
Why seek for man’s validation when God and the people you love know the truth about you anyway?
Rest knowing that the Almighty God knows and that is all that really matters.
Have a blessed day!
Stand in Righteousness and Holiness
The LORD is calling for His leaders to stand in righteousness and holiness.
He says “Be holy for I AM Holy.” The LORD holds those of you who lead His sheep accountable.
God requires of His leaders purity. He requires His leaders to be pure in heart, pure in mind and pure in body.
You cannot be of God yet mingling with the things of the devil. There is no in between, you are either on the LORD’s side or on the devil’s side?
You cannot have one foot in and the other out. It is one or the other. The Church is no game.
The Kingdom of God is no game. Games are for those who are not serious and are not sure where they are going.
There is a difference in making a mistake and there is a difference when you deliberately live in sin.
If God has called you to lead His people but you have erred and have departed from the way, hear me this night, repent and turn back to the LORD.
The LORD is a God of mercy but He is also the God of judgment.
Choose this day whom you will serve.
A Network Change Was Detected!
While my Facebook page loaded some moments ago, I lost internet connection for a few seconds and then showed up on the screen were the words, “YOUR CONNECTION WAS INTERRUPTED.”
Immediately below was written the words “A NETWORK CHANGE WAS DETECTED.”
It is evident that because of a change in the network settings the connection was interrupted.
This is no different from our lives brethren. The enemy will try to interrupt your life with various attacks but remain but remain focus and do no not allow yourselves to be distracted.
He might have tried to change or interrupt the natural rhythm or flow of your life but understand this does not change God’s ultimate plan for your life.
Though you may be attacked because you are a threat to his kingdom be encouraged and understand God is bigger than the enemy and His plan for your life out rules the enemy’s plan for your life.
Though he TRIES to stop God’s purpose and will for your life it will never work because God is the Master inventor of time, creation and the world.
The enemy’s attacks and interruption does not surprise nor does it catch God off guard.
Before you were even born the LORD knew the enemy’s plots and plans concerning your life.
The LORD would have already seen and have would have already made interventions and a way out for you.
Your story has already been written. The only person allowed permission to make changes to a book is the author of the book.
God wrote your story and He is the only One who can make changes to it.
Remain in the will of Almighty God and watch Him fight for you.
Roman 8:28 says,
“And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to those who are called according to His purpose”.
When you love God and are called according to His purpose all things will work together for your good. That is something to boast in and be confident about.
Have a blessed day!
For the Time Has Come!
1 Peter 4:17-18 says,
“For the time has come for judgment to begin at the house of God; and if it begins with us first, what will be the end of those who do not obey the gospel of God? Now, ‘if the righteous one is scarcely saved, where will the ungodly and the sinner appear?'”
The scripture says “for the time has come.” This indicates a particular time for the occurrence of an event or a thing.
It continues to say, “for judgment to begin in the house of God.”
The house of God is simply the Church, our place of worship, a place where we meet and greet or fellowship.
It also goes on to say “and if it begins with us first, what will be the end of those who do not obey the gospel of God?”
I first want to point out that there is a difference between those who are in the Church, or the house of God, and those who are in the Kingdom of God.
Understand that you can be in the Church and not in the Kingdom of God.
I will try as best to define these terms in order to have a better understanding of the two.
The Kingdom of God can be referred to those who are saved and sanctified, those sold out for Christ and are not living in sin.
Those in the Church or the house of God may be referred to those who may not necessarily be saved and are just visiting Church out of religion or conscience.
Also, note that those who maybe in the Kingdom of God are not exempt from the judgment of God if they sin willfully.
Once we sin, no matter who we are, we open ourselves to the judgment of God because God is no respecter of persons.
So whether we are in the Kingdom of God or are mere church goers and are living in sin we are open to God’s judgment and wrath.
However what goes on in the Church can have an effect on those who are in the Kingdom of God since the Church or the house of God is where all are gathered to worship.
Now that I have explained the terms, I want to go back to the part that says, “and if it begins with us first, what will be the end of those who do not obey the gospel of God?”
Now I believe when the writer used the word “us” he meant the Church or the house of God and those who are in the Kingdom of God, this includes those who are living in sin and have not repented or turned to God.
So if the judgment of God begins with those in the Church or house of God, we also see where the writer infers that the judgment of God will be greatly upon those who do not obey the gospel of God?
And who are they who do not obey the gospel of God or considered ungodly?
They are those who have decided to walk their own way and are blatantly living in.
1 Corinthians 6:9-10 gives reference to this. It says,
“Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God?
Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God.”
I also love how Paul goes on in 1 Corinthians 6:11 to say that, “and such were some of you,” meaning there those of us who may have erred and lived a certain lifestyle but since we have been made new and have been adopted into the Kingdom of God we are no more what we use to be.
So it goes to show that none of us are perfect but when we have encountered God and His goodness we are made to become like Him.
David says he was born in sin and shaped in iniquity. This means he and likewise us have the propensity to sin because we were also born in sin however because of the blood of Jesus Christ we no longer have to live in sin.
1 Peter 4:18 says,
“if the righteous one is scarcely saved, where will the ungodly and the sinner appear”?
So I believe the writer wants us to understand that “being saved” is not an easy task because if those considered to be righteous are SCARCELY meaning BARELY saved, there will hardly be a place for the ungodly or sinner.
This is truly sad but the point is that we can choose to no longer live in sin.
I believe the terms “SCARCELY SAVED” can be linked to Matthew 7:13-14 which says
“Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.”
The difficult path is always less traveled because it takes much from you to walk that path.
You will always find more people walking the path that is wrong because that is the way that is easy and popular.
The narrow path is the one that is least traveled because it is the most difficult. This path is where 1 Peter 4:18 speaks about the righteous being scarcely saved, which means the path to be righteous requires you take the narrow path which is the least popular and very difficult to walk.
However this walk can only be done by the grace of Almighty and God. God will always give the grace to those who desire righteousness and to walk the narrow path.
The scripture 1 Peter 4:17 says “for judgment begins,” I want to point out that for something to have a beginning it must also have an ending.
If it begins in the Church or house of God the continuation and end of the judgment must be in the world.
This morning I want to implore those of my brothers and sisters in Christ who are saved and are seeking to make it in, to continue to walk with the LORD and thirst after righteousness.
I know the road on which you travel is not an easy path but with Christ you will make it, I am very proud of those of you who have not given in to the enemy but have kept on going when you had every right to give in.
I also would like to encourage those who are prodigals, backsliders and sinners to dedicate and rededicate their lives to Christ.
There is no life outside of Christ. Tomorrow is promise to none of us. Seek Christ while He may be found.
You are not too far gone where the LORD cannot reach you.
I want to encourage you to surrender and run to Him.
Find yourself a place of worship today and give your life to the LORD.
You are much safer in Him.
God bless you!
