Follow the Path That Jesus Designed
Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life, and is the only way to get to God is through and by Him. There is no other way.
So if we are to reach the final destination then we must go the ONLY way, the path that Jesus went ahead of us and designed for us to follow.
There are many trying to climb up other ways and these are the same as a thief and a robber. Their are many voices but, we, the true sheep follow the true shepherd through being led by Holy Spirit into all truth.
“For there is a way that seemth right unto a man but, the end thereof are the ways of death.” Proverbs 14:12.
“Verily , verily, I say unto you, He that entereth not by the door (Jesus/word) into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber. But he that entereth in by the door is the shepherd of the sheep. To him the potter openeth; and the sheep hear his voice: and he calleth his own sheep by name, and leadeth them out. And when he putteth forth his own sheep, he goeth before them, and the sheep follow him: for they know his voice. And a stranger they will not follow, but they will flee from him: for they know not the voice of strangers.” John 10:1-5.
In this article I will attempt to breakdown this path and show you:
- The only way to God. The path that Jesus designed.
- Whom we are to follow to reach the final destination or destiny.
- Reveal those that are going the seemingly right way but, rather it leads to death.
- Those who are on the right path that leads to life and life more abundantly.
In this article I will show you the straight and narrow path that our Savior walked as he went before us to make the crooked places straight.
He walked a divine path that was set before Him by his Father, always being led by the Spirit, to show us the way to the Father God who is (love).
He was the forerunner Son who went before us to make the crooked places straight, to bring many more sons to the same glory, and to show us the ONLY way.
As we follow being led by Holy Spirit who always points us to Jesus the living word will lead us to the Father.
So, who and what is the way?
“I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me,” John 14:6.
“Enter ye in at the straight gate: for wide is the gate, that leadeth to destruction, and may there be which go in thereat: because straight is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it,” Matthew 7:13-14.
Herein we see that Jesus/ word is the only way to go.
Who are we to look to as we run this race, laying aside every weight and sin that doth so easily beset us?
“Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God,” Hebrews 12:2.
Herein we see that we are to look to the pattern Son and follow his steps.
Being led by whom?
“Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him; but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you,” John 14:17.
“But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teaches you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him,” 1 John 2:27.
Herein we see that we are to receive the gift of the Holy Spirit and be led by Him as he leads us down the right path.
Who are these blind guides going the seemingly right way, yet that is not the right way that leads to life but rather death, and which way is that way that many are finding?
“There is a way which seemeth to be right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death,” Proverbs 14:12.
“Beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and the Sadducee’s.” Matthew 16:6.
“Ye blind guides, which strain at a gnat, and swallow a camel,” Matthew 23:24.
Herein we see that these were the religious Pharisee’s and Sadducee’s leaders of Jesus’s day who were blind leaders full of religious dead outward works with no inward love or Spirit of God within them.
Jesus called them blind guides and he went on to say;
“Let them alone, they be blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch together,” Matthew 15:14.
These were trying to condemn everyone rather than showing them the way because they did not know the way themselves, In fact, they rejected the way, who was Jesus who was with them teaching them because they wanted to hold to old Law and tradition, doctrines, and commandments of men rather than receive the new and living way that is outlined here.
So herein we can clearly see that Jesus is the only way which leads to life and there are other ways that all lead to death and bondage and we must follow Holy Spirit in this way, not the flesh around us.
Now let us examine the eight step path that Jesus walked in his process to show us the way to full redemption in our process.
1. REPENTANCE/ WATER BAPTIZED.
He was baptized by John in river Jordan.
“Now when all the people were baptized, it came to pass, that Jesus also being baptized, and praying, the heaven was opened.” Luke 3:21.
2. BAPTIZED BY THE SPIRIT.
He was baptized by the Spirit as the heavens opened and a dove came upon Him.
3. HEARING AND LEAD BY SPIRIT.
He reaching a maturity, began hearing and being led by the Spirit, the voice of God.
“And he Holy Ghost descended in a bodily shape like a dove upon him, and a voice came from heaven, which said, Thou art my beloved Son in thee I am well pleased,” Luke 3:22.
“Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water, and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the Kingdom of God,” John 3:5.
Here we see that we must be baptized by the water and the Spirit and receive the gift of the Holy Ghost, then be led by His spirit through the rest of your process.
4. WILDERNESS EXPERIENCE.
He was drove by God into the wilderness where the word/knowledge and wisdom he grew in was being tested and tried by the enemy.
“And Jesus being full of the Holy Ghost returned from Jordan, and was LED BY THE SPIRIT into the wilderness, being forty days tempted of the devil,” Luke 4:1-2.
Herein we see that in the wilderness he was being tested as we also are when we go through our wilderness experience. It is here that Jesus gave the devil the word and he said … IT IS WRITTEN.
This is how he came through the testings. For it is in the wilderness that we learn discernment and our hearts the inside is being tested and prepared before we can move on the step five in the process.
5. RETURNING IN POWER OF SPIRIT.
He returned in the Power of the Spirit and had a miracle ministry.
“And when the devil had ended all the temptation, he departed from him for a season. And Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit into Galilee: and there went out a fame of him through all the region round about.” Luke 4:13-14.
Herein we see that this being a seemingly great place to arrive one would think this to be the end of the process or path but Jesus went on to fulfill steps 6-8, so likewise must we.
6. THE GARDEN SURRENDER.
He fully surrenders here, where He surrendered his flesh the outward to go on to fulfill the full purpose of God and the full redemption for us as we follow on to know him.
“And they came to a place which was named Gethsemane: and he saith unto his disciples, Sit ye here, while I shall pray. And he taketh with him Peter, James, and John, and began to be sore amazed, and to be heavy; and saith unto them, my soul is exceeding sorrowful unto death; tarry ye hear and watch. And he went forward a little and fell on the ground, and prayed that, if it were possible the hour might pass form him. And he said Abba, Father, all things are possible unto thee: take away this cup from me: nevertheless not what I will, but what thou wilt,” Mark 32-36.
Herein we can see that at this place where Jesus went on a little further the fame of the multitudes had all left him and he had been betrayed by Judas, and even the disciples that were still with him went to sleep on him. In this place he found himself alone with God.
As His flesh pleaded with the Father that He may skip this part He said let this cup pass form me, but nevertheless thou will be done. Three times He prayed this as three is the number of transformation.
Jesus did finally surrender and went on to step seven to complete the work of the cross/ death to flesh. This is the last part of the process. Religion wants to deal with this part first and Jesus rebuked them telling them they indeed were clean outwardly but inside they were full of all uncleanliness, he called them hypocrites.
We can clearly see here why he called them blind guides and hypocrites, for he knew their heart was not right, and was in no condition to lead others with right heart and spirit.
Which is why they condemned everyone around them that was not like them. The inside is dealt with first in the wilderness the trying of the heart, then step six and step seven the flesh is dealt with.
Mature Christian seekers who have this path revealed to them can easily discern where one is and gently lead them to the next level with right heart and attitude, meanwhile religious blind leaders want to try to kill and condemn the true seed of God within a person before it reaches a full maturity, so what they do to the least of these they are actually doing it to Jesus.
You cannot take someone that is step two and think they are to arrive at step seven tomorrow. It is a process for us all. This is what Jesus meant when he said get the beam out of your own eye then you will see clearly how to get the mote out of thy brothers eye, and to let every man work out his own salvation with fear and trembling.
Surrender is a willful act that each must be willing to take, as Jesus said no man taketh my life from me I lay it down willingly, that I may take it up again, and it is a process.
Let us give the same mercy and grace to others that we have and are receiving ourselves.
7. THE CROSS.
He laid his life down the dying of the flesh nature.
“And it was the third hour, and they crucified Him,” Mark 15:25.
Herein we see that Jesus went all the way for the purpose of God to be fulfilled in His life.
The purpose to redeem mankind from the fall and the curse of it (old order) and restore them back in right standing with the Father to restore all that was lost in the fall.
He died to fully redeem His Bride. To bring many more sons to this same glory as we follow on to know him.
8. THE RESURRECTION.
He was resurrected on third day on the third day he rose again and was seated at right hand of the Father making intercession for you and I to complete and fulfill our purpose to be fully restored and receive all that Jesus died to give us, the full redemption package.
So herein we can see that the end leads us right back to the beginning as it was before the fall.
In following the path Jesus walked we can be fully restored back to his original plan and design and be restored all that was lost in he fall of the first man Adam.
Jesus said if you eat my flesh and drink my blood (cup of new testament) I will raise you up in the last days. We have the same promise Jesus did.
This is the path and order of the path that Jesus designed for us to follow. Let us continue to walk by faith as we move forward from glory to glory.
