Fit For Victory
There is a scripture in 1 Samuel 17:38 where Saul offered David to wear his armor when he was about to fight Goliath. David tried on Saul’s armor, but it was too large for him. He removed the armor because he knew that it would hinder him from slaying Goliath. He was not accustomed to wearing such an armor, he was not familiar with it, it was not the proper fit and he had no skill in using it.
But David had an inward assurance of the victory, because he remembered his past victories. He remembered slaying the lion and the bear. After he removed the armor he went up against Goliath and defeated him with the sling shot and five stones which God placed in his hand.
The Lord says;
“I have called and created each one of you to be unique. I have created you to be authentic, not a replica of someone else. I have released gifts to each one of you. Don’t try to imitate another person’s ministry. Don’t covet another person’s gifts. You could not walk in another person’s anointing because I have a distinct anointing for your life. I am raising up many of you to be My voice in this hour. You voice will carry power and authority. Your voice will release My anointing to break burdens and destroy yokes. I am calling leaders to rise up and get in the position which they were called to. There are multitudes that are in the valley of decision, and they are looking for someone to lead, direct and advise them. I am calling those to the front lines of ministry to shake off the lethargy and come before Me in prayer and fasting. I am calling those in the five-fold ministry to walk in the callings that I have placed on their lives. I will instruct you and give you the knowledge, wisdom and revelation that you need to pursue every assignment”
says the Lord.
Then the Lord showed me a large display of shoes. There were shoes of all different varieties, sizes, colors and styles. Some were used for running, some were for hiking, some were for mountain climbing, some were fins for swimming and some were boots to be worn in battle. They were shoes of all nations. The Lord has given us all individual shoes and has designed shoes for each one of us to walk in. We cannot walk in someone else’s shoes. Some of you are trying to fit into shoes that were not meant for you to walk in.
“I am raising up new leaders from among you to train and minister to the lost sheep. I am calling men and women of righteousness to equip and lead groups in wholesome living. As you inquire of Me, I will give you the words to speak and show you your next assignment.
Don’t be disillusioned when people reject you, despitefully use or speak against you, but recognize the process to maturity. Don’t be discouraged when people belittle you because the fiery darts are against your anointing and the calling on your life, not you personally. Don’t be moved by voices of unbelief because your decisions will determine your destiny. Go forth and trumpet My word and all that I show you to do in this earth. I am going to release My glory in an unprecedented way in the days ahead”
says the Lord.
“So Saul clothed David with his armor, and he put a bronze helmet on his head; he also clothed him with a coat of mail. David fastened his sword to his armor and tried to walk, for he had not tested them. And David said to Saul, “I cannot walk with these, for I have not tested them.” So David took them off.” 1 Samuel 17:38-39.
“But now God has set the members, each one of them, in the body just as He pleased. And if they were all one member, where would the body be? But now indeed there are many members, yet one body. And the eye cannot say to the hand, “I have no need of you”; nor again the head to the feet, “I have no need of you.”No, much rather, those members of the body which seem to be weaker are necessary” 1 Corinthians 12:18 -22.
“For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, and being ready to punish all disobedience when your obedience is fulfilled” 2 Corinthians 10:4.
