Fickle, Fickle and Double-Minded!
A Look at the word ‘Fickle’.
The Holy Spirit spoke the word ‘Fickle’ to me today.
He also said ‘Double-Mindedness.’ He said not to ever put confidence in a fickle or double-minded and unstable person.
Fickle: Definition (from ©Dictionary.com)
“People who change their minds on a whim, or appear to, often without being able or prepared to explain why. Likely to change, especially due to caprice, irresolution, or instability; casually changeable, not constant or loyal in affections, unstable, unsteady, variable, capricious, fitful, inconstant. Fickle, inconstant, vacillating, describe persons or things that are not firm or steady in affection, behavior, opinion, or loyalty. Fickle implies an underlying perversity as a cause for the lack of stability: rejected by a fickle public. Inconstant suggests an innate disposition to change.”
As believers, we must learn to walk in The Spirit and not be conformed to what people want, because these that are not of God can pull you away from your steadfastness in The LORD.
Put no confidence in an unfaithful person. You cannot depend or rely on anyone who is fickle and double-minded.
People come and go and are led by the desire of the flesh with every wind and popular idea. They may be all for you one day and against you in the next. Or these will change moment by moment.
Having a lot of friends or numbers of people beloved is not an indicator of success, neither is popularity. I see so many superficial people. Do not let this bother you and just move on with those who want to be connected with you in The LORD.
Having relationships with those who are unequally yoked with you — can hinder you.
Do not plow with an ox and an ass together. Not only will the same yoke not fit right, but the ox will also pull forward and the ass will stubbornly resist and sit. Do not yoke together an ox and ass.
“For now will I break his yoke from off thee, and will burst thy bonds in sunder,” Nahum 1:13 KJV.
Do not measure your plumb line against whitewashed walls; they are filled with dead men’s bones. You must never turn over trust to a fickle person.
If someone said they will be there for you they will be there! If something happens and they leave, don’t take it personally beloved.
If someone says they are committed to God and His leadership then they change, which is an indicator of lack of integrity and loyalty.
Learn to discern beloved. Watch people and put no confidence in an unfaithful man. There are many who say they would be your friend and they put up a good show, but they leave that should be a red flag.
Go with your gut. When they go, do not try to convince them to stay. Let them go beloved. It is actually a good thing.
Forgive them, release them, and let them go. Why? It only gets worse and you don’t need the grief. There are plenty of others that are sincere and actually need our help.
People are fickle, but those who are with you and sent by God will remain no matter what because God told them to be there. There are no stable novices. You need to be fruit watchers.
You cannot hang out with an unfaithful person or you will come into league with them. We need to be sure of whom we keep company with.
Often people will promise you the moon! But the signs are there beloved, learn to trust, and believe what God is showing you because they have no substance of faith in their lives.
Those who are double-minded, fickle, wishy-washy, are unstable IN ALL THEIR WAYS! Give no place to the devil and deliver yourself from fickle people, you don’t need this unless they are truly surrendered to God’s will.
I hope this helps to encourage you or all relationships. May we all surrender to God’s will and not our own will, in Jesus’ name!
“Woe unto them! for they have gone in the way of Cain, and ran greedily after the error of Balaam for reward, and perished in the gainsaying of Core. These are spots in your feasts of charity, when they feast with you, feeding themselves without fear: clouds they are without water, carried about of winds; trees whose fruit withereth, without fruit, twice dead, plucked up by the roots; raging waves of the sea, foaming out their own shame; wandering stars, to whom is reserved the blackness of darkness forever. And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Behold, The LORD cometh with ten thousands of his saints, to execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and of all their hard speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken against him. These are murmurers, complainers, walking after their own lusts; and their mouth speaketh great swelling words, having men’s persons in admiration because of advantage. But, beloved, remember ye the words which were spoken before of the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ,” Jude 1:11-17 KJV.

Hi Sherry,
I will give a warning about ‘gut feelings’.
The Lord clearly says that ‘friends’ are only those who do the Will of God.
We shall go by faith not by sight, which means we shall not rely on anything but what we hear from God.
Walking ‘by sight’ is the same as to discern what we perceive with our five senses and will without expections gives us different kind of ‘gut feelings’ good as well as bad and if we don’t hear the voice of God at the same time we will surely be deceived of the ‘other one’ who constantly works through ‘feelings’.
Some years ago I had a dream where God showed me how my (our) obedience to Him actually attracts the enemy(!)of God, which is extremely hard to discern if you not, through your obedience to the Father, are totally separated from the need of human relationship and instead only rely on those who you clearly can discern that they rather would abandon the whole world and the friendship with you than dare to go against what they hear the Father say to them. These are people we can rely on no matter how we ‘feel’, because when we speak with other people we shall in reality speak ‘with God’.
These dark days are dangerous because it is easy to begin to search for those we ‘think or feel’ are of the same heart as us, but Jesus tells us in what manner we shall love each other, because it is only through hearing and obeying the Father we can be a true friend and love someone else, which is the same as love oneself, because we love ourself only when we hear and obey Him.
“love one another as I have loved you (not in the manner human loves one another but as I love by hearing, obeying and speaking what the Father says which is the only true love man can show) that ye also love one another .
(only) by this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, IF ye have love one to another (as I said is shown only by hearing and obeying the Father.John 13:34-35
“Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself (by only speak what you hear the Father say) Matth,19:19
