Feeling Stuck or Adrift? This is For You Right Now!
Stuck In Past Seasons
For the past several months, I have been talking a lot about how God is doing a new thing and we need to forget the former ways of doing things. This is not always easy to do, as most people by nature resist change. The change happening right now is a major paradigm shift for us to move into the new season at hand.
“Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland,” Isaiah 43:18-19 NIV.
Recently, I have noticed that many people I meet seem to be stuck in a previous season — though some might not be aware of it. It is almost like their spirit is still in a previous time while God’s Spirit is calling them forward. For others, it could be their soul is stuck in a previous time and it is keeping them in past pain.
Freedom
God spoke to me to begin setting people free from these past connections. This might not be for everyone, but if you have felt stuck in the past or you have been part of a previous group who you are no longer with — then it is possible this is for you.
Many pastors, apostolic and prophetic leaders who you have trained with or been under their ministries have opened up heavenly access to revelation and teaching for you — based on their anointing.
A biblical example of this is what Jesus said to Nathanael in John 1:50–51. He said that he would see Heaven open and angels ascending and descending upon Jesus. This indicates that we could get an open Heaven of revelation and understanding by being around certain teachers and leaders.
Sometimes God changes the season of our life and in the process He is bringing new revelation; yet our spirit might still be stuck in the previous time. I am not talking about changing the message of Jesus or distorting it to fit our needs. I am referring to when God legitimately moves us to a new time and the old ways of doing things are no longer effective like they were before.
Two Examples of This
• Matthew 9:14-17 — the Pharisees and some of John the Baptist’s followers asked
Jesus why He did not do the things they did, such as fast. They were stuck in the past and were not able to recognize the new thing God was doing.
• In Acts 19:1-7 — the Apostle Paul met a group of Christians who had only received
the baptism of John the Baptist and did not know the full message of Jesus and the infilling of the Holy Spirit.
If you have felt adrift or disconnected and you are not sure why, or you have recently changed affiliations — this might be for you.
Activation Prayer
I want to pray this over you right now:
Holy Spirit, I pray integration to happen over each person, right now, who has been affected by this season change. We want to be aligned with Your perfect timing on Earth as it is in Heaven. So, we ask now that you would close off any old heavenly access places that are no longer for this season. God calls you forward into this new season and into the appropriate alignment that you need for right now. In Jesus name, amen.
Now by faith, just push the door open and allow your spirit to exit the previous season and enter into the new time that God is bringing to you.
I had to do this over myself as many of my apostolic and prophetic leaders have changed. When I prayed this prayer, I suddenly felt clarity and integration again.
Blessings,
