Feeling S T R E T C H E D a Bit Right Now?
Feeling S T R E T C H E D a bit right now?
WHEW! It’s not fun! Nope!
But you know and I know that we have to be stretched, shaken up a bit and be willing to be trained and even “re-trained” as believers if we want to move outward and upwards toward the plans and brilliant endeavors that God has for the days ahead.
Ready for a Sling shot?
Maybe a catapult? (gulp!)
Get your focus “harnessed and aimed” to know the words God has spoken and proclaimed!
It’s time to “soar” in thanksgiving, or… you can sink into a spiraling discontent.
Here are some “flying high words” from Scripture!
“The will of God for us is to “rejoice always, pray without ceasing, and live to give thanks in all circumstances,” 1 Thessalonians 5:16–1.
💥 WOW! 💥
God’s will for us is to be “connected with Him” in prayer, and to be filled with joy and thanksgiving.
His will is NOT for us to complain about life, to grumble about what we don’t have, to stress non-stop about our circumstances, or to compare how others may have something that we don’t.
We CAN cry out to God in our discontent and pain though! And He will respond with a remedy!
Our dear Jesus wants us to face life with joy — His deep, inner Joy that abides, that “settles in” no matter what!
A Joy made “strong in peace”, even through disappointments and struggles.
Jesus wants us to confront life head on!
And absolutely not with pessimism and negativity, nor with blaming, pouting and punishing!
But instead, with thanksgiving and gratitude!
Living lives of gratitude means even giving thanks to God when we face the unexpected painful challenges and tragedies of life.
It’s WHEN we face life’s challenges with gratitude, then we will learn new perspectives and grow to new heights.
The choice is ours!
The consequences are too!
🛐 Let’s Choose Wisely And Let’s Pray Right Now! 🛐
LORD, help me to hear You saying, “I AM your hope” over all the other voices.
LORD, Your Word says, You ARE the hope for hopeless so I’m running to You with both hands stretched out and grabbing on to You.
Fill me up with Hope and please, give me a tangible reminder today that Hope is an unbreakable spiritual lifeline, (Hebrews 6:19-20).
God, You know those things in my heart that I barely dare to hope for. Today I give them to You, I trust them to You, and ask that You deal with them all, because I know that you can do more than I could ever guess, imagine or request in wildest dreams, (Ephesians 3:20).
God, you are my hope and I trust You.
Amen.
