Fear Jesus — for He Is All Powerful!
Jesus wants you to fear Him, because He is all powerful.
Joshua 4:24 says this well:
“He did this so that all the peoples of the earth might know that the hand of the LORD is powerful and so that you might always fear the LORD your God.”
Because of His power, He can do anything.
Here are two examples of what Jesus can do in your life (one bad, one good).
1. Jesus has the power to allow you to be attacked.
See the prophet and the lion in 1 Kings 13:26 for example:
“When the prophet who had brought him back from his journey heard of it, he said, ‘It is the man of God who defied the word of the LORD. The LORD has given him over to the lion, which has mauled him and killed him, as the word of the LORD had warned him.'”
*Note: Jesus did not personally attack the prophet, but He allowed it to happen.
2. Jesus has the power to prosper you.
See Solomon in 1 Chronicles 29:23 for example:
“So Solomon sat on the throne of the LORD as king in place of his father David. He prospered and all Israel obeyed him.”
In short, Jesus has the power to do what He wants with your life. When you realize what He can do, it will cause you to fear Him in awe and trembling.
And Jesus enjoys it when you fear Him.
The Holy Spirit adds: “My people, I AM here. I AM The LORD your God. I care so much for you, but you need to know something.
I AM your Friend, yes, but I AM more than that. I AM LORD and I AM all powerful. Do not think little of Me. I can do all things and nothing is impossible for Me. I care for you and I can shake the whole Earth. It’s easy for Me.
I care for you, but you must still fear Me. Know that I can change your life and turn it upside down.
I can do all things and a shaking is coming. I AM going to flip the world on its head again so people may know that I AM LORD.
Watch what I do, for it’s coming soon.”

Yes! The Word would say:

“The fear of The LORD is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and instruction.” Proverbs 1:7.
“The fear of The LORD is the beginning of wisdom, and the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.” Proverbs 9:10
