Fate Vs Damnation?
Fate: is the development of events beyond a person’s control, regarded as determined by a supernatural power.
Free will-choice: The power of making choices that are neither determined by natural causality nor predestined by fate or divine will.
Damnation: is the Christian belief (based upon theology) that condemns one to eternal punishment in hell.
As I was pondering upon God’s holy word, the LORD begin to speak to me regarding the two malefactors who were upon the crosses with Jesus, and how that this was a prophetic act and a sign to all mankind of what was going to take place, to come to our world as a result of man’s disobedience!
Not only man’s disobedience, but as regards to his ‘free choice’ and his decision making, to either accept or to reject Christ upon the cross, as Jesus hung in between these two malefactors!
I believe that God was demonstrating to the world, what was to come in its entirety, as these two malefactors hung next to a dying Savior whose fate was destined to take place, to give man the opportunity to choose or to reject or accept eternal life or eternal damnation!
As we evaluate the malefactor who rejected Christ, we see a man who was desperate to live and to stay in a world that he himself did not value, because of his own sins (broken laws).
But he had an opportunity to repent and to have it all, yet he choose to save himself (by rejecting Christ) and to gain the whole world; instead of his own soul!
The LORD begin to speak to me that given the opportunity, no matter what, many will always make the wrong decision to devalue their souls, just to gain the world, that they themselves do not even possess, because the god of this world has blinded their eyes like the malefactor who begged Jesus to come off the cross.
But like Christ, we will have to pray that the Father will forgive them, for they know not what they do!
Jesus being in between these two malefactors was symbolic of man’s eternal struggle to accept or to reject a loving Savior, who came to save them from a world of sin!
As, God began to unfold this revelation as to why Christ was hung in between these two malefactors, I don’t believe that it was coincidence that Christ being hung in the middle, was by mistake.
But, I believe it was done (fate) for all the world to see and for us to understand the agony man will have in letting go of this world and all the evil it holds.
For it was to be recorded throughout history, the agony the world would face in the battle to choose to accept salvation, as Christ looked upon these two malefactors arguing with one another about how one was treating a Savior who had done no wrong; while the other argued for him to come down off the cross, to save himself as well as him, from off the cross!
But, like the malefactor who recognized his sinful condition, he knew the consequences of him rejecting Christ, so he turned to Christ for Help; instead of bowing down to save himself!
He choose Christ and salvation, He who was willing to make the ultimate sacrifice for a world that stood at His feet and on His side mocking and rejecting Him!
But, God allowed Christ to see before he gave up the Ghost, that His sacrifice was not in vain, but their will still be hope, as the one malefactor humbled himself and made the right choice and said to the selfish malefactor, “Dost not thou fear God, seeing thou art in the same condemnation? And we indeed justly; for we receive the due reward of our deeds: but this man hath done nothing amiss.”
And he said unto Jesus, “LORD, remember me when thou comest into Thy Kingdom.” And Jesus said unto him, “Verily I say unto thee, today shalt thou be with me in paradise.”
Will you like Christ be willing to make the ultimate sacrifice or will you compromise by coming down off the cross to save yourself or complete your destiny?
The one malefactor who repented and recognized his sinful condition and his ungrateful heart was a symbol not only to Christ, that his dying was not in vain (as they continued to ridicule and to mock him on the cross) but also to the church in general that if we can just but save one soul it will have all been worth Christ’s dying for a world, that did not deserve his willingness and sacrificial offering to save a godless world who rejected him!
And they parted his raiment, and cast lots. And the people stood beholding. And the rulers also with them derided him , saying, He saved others; let him save himself, {if} he be Christ, the chosen of God.
And the soldiers also mocked him, coming to him, and offering him vinegar, and saying, {If} thou be the king of the Jews, save thyself. And a superscription also was written over him in letters of Greek, and Latin, and Hebrew, “THIS IS THE KING OF THE JEWS.”
That the other thief rejected Jesus is remarkable in its own right. While being tortured on the cross, he literally joined his torturers in insulting (blaspheming) the Savior of the world, and he most likely did so because he wanted his torturers to think he was just like them, joined to the world and with no love for God but what would it profit him to have gained the whole world and to have lost his soul? (Matthew 27:44; Mark 8:36-37, Luke 23:32-43).
~ Apostle Geraldine Fisher
Apostle Geraldine Fisher has a World-Wide-Social Media Net-Work Ministry. As a Missionary, God moved her into the Office of a Prophet, revealing to her the qualities of a True prophet, humility, humiliation, loving others, interceding in prayer, as she keeps her own life clean to accurately hear from God. Since hearing the audible voice of God calling her to ministry, she’s been called to intercede and pray for others in ministry as God speaks, instructs, directs and gives prophetic words for her to give to others. God promised He would bring her to sit and to learn before great men, all of which He did!
Often I told this story to unbelievers and doubters. The reactions, the words of these 2 men beside our Saviour. This touched many. There is no clearer example what the right and what the wrong decision is.
