A Prayer of the Knowledge of Jesus for Family Members
This prayer is based on words of the Apostle Simon Peter as taken from Second Peter 1:1-8 and from the Amplified Bible version.
I, __insert Your Name__ , a servant and apostle, a special messenger of Jesus Christ, am one of those who has received and obtained an equal privilege of like precious faith with other Christians in and through the righteousness of our God and Saviour Jesus Christ.
May grace, may God’s favour and may God’s peace which is perfect well-being, all necessary good, all spiritual prosperity, and freedom from fears and agitating passions and moral conflicts be multiplied to my Family Members in the full, personal, precise, and correct knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord. In particular I bring before You my family members; ___name___ my __relationship__ and ___name___ my __relationship__.
O Lord, You divine power has conferred upon us all things that are required and suited to life and godliness, through the full, personal knowledge of Him Who called us by and to His own glory and excellent virtue.
By means of these He has conferred on us His precious and exceedingly great promises, so that through them you may escape by flight from the moral decay the rottenness and the corruption which is in the world because of covetousness, lust and greed, and become sharers and partakers of the divine nature.
For this very reason, I pray my family members will be able to add diligence to the divine promises, employing every effort in exercising thier faith to develop virtue excellence, resolution, Christian energy, and in exercising virtue, develop knowledge intelligence, And in exercising knowledge develop self-control, and in exercising self-control develop steadfastness patience, endurance, and in exercising steadfastness develop godliness piety, And in exercising godliness develop brotherly affection, and in exercising brotherly affection, develop Christian love.
May these qualities be those of my family members and may they increasingly abound in them. May these qualities keep my family members from being idle or unfruitful unto the full personal knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ the Messiah, the Anointed One.
Amen and Amen and Amen!
