False Prophetic Insight Blinds Prophets to the Heart of God
Yesterday The LORD spoke to me regarding the chapter of Jonah.
Now, He has given me to release this word. He said to me that had Jonah not trusted in Himself instead of looking to God; in his own flesh, he wouldn’t have fallen into rebellion like those He was prophesying to.
And, had he acknowledged God in the first place, he would have been successful in his ministry. But instead, Jonah felt he knew more than God himself!
God said to him,”Arise, go to Nineveh, that great city, and proclaim against it, for their wickedness has come up before Me,” (Jonah 1:2, AMP).
But , instead Jonah rose up to flee to Tarshish from being in the presence of The LORD [as His prophet] and went down to Joppa and found a ship going to Tarshish [the most remote of the Phoenician trading places then known].
So he paid the appointed fare and went down into the ship to go with them to Tarshish from being in the presence of The LORD. [As his servant the minister] (Jonah 1:3 AMP)
It appeared that Jonah had a love for God and it looked as though God was with Jonah as he ran off in the bottom of the ship, but as the ship master questioned Jonah they knew Jonah had run from the presence of The LORD!
Whenever we take it upon ourselves to do what we want, instead of what God is sending us to do as prophets, we bring nothing but hardship upon ourselves and the ONLY way out is true repentance!
Jonah had failed to obey the instructions of The LORD and The LORD caused a big fish to swallow up Jonah until he repented!
You notice that those connected to Jonah also had to cry out, because Jonah was down in the ship asleep while the boat was about to sink.
The ship master and others were throwing their belongings over board to lighten the ship’s load so they wouldn’t drown, when all the time it was Jonah causing them to sink.
His hardheadedness, stubbornness, pride and rebellion showed, because Jonah felt he could see as a prophet better than God!
When The LORD got through with Jonah a three day journey turned into a one day journey!
I told The LORD that I don’t care about why he’s doing what He is doing, my job as a prophet is to speak the Word, deliver it and to release it!
Many times, we as prophets get into trouble because God has given us a few Prophetic Words and we think it is for EVERYONE ELSE and we forget the Word is also for those He has sent as well!
Jonah ended up caught up in the wrath of God because he thought his prophetic insight was GREATER THAN GOD’S!
So Jonah arose and went to Nineveh, according to the word of The LORD. Now Nineveh was an exceedingly great city of three days’ journey [sixty miles in circumference].
And Jonah began to enter into the city a day’s journey, and he cried, “Yet forty days and Nineveh shall be overthrown!”
So the people of Nineveh believed in God and proclaimed a fast and put on sackcloth [in penitent mourning], from the greatest of them even to the least of them.
For word came to the king of Nineveh [of all that had happened to Jonah, and his terrifying message from God], and he arose from his throne and he laid his robe aside, covered himself with sackcloth, and sat in ashes.
And he made proclamation and published through Nineveh,
“By the decree of the king and his nobles: Let neither man nor beast, herd nor flock, taste anything; let them not feed nor drink water.
But let man and beast be covered with sackcloth and let them cry mightily to God. Yes, let every one turn from his evil way and from the violence that is in his hands.”
“Who can tell, God may turn and revoke His sentence against us [when we have met His terms], and turn away from His fierce anger so that we perish not.” (Jonah 3:3-9, AMP)
But, that didn’t stop Jonah’s pride because he said to God, “Is not this just what I said when I was still in my country? That is why I fled to Tarshish, for I knew that You are a gracious God and merciful, slow to anger and of great kindness, and [when sinners turn to You and meet Your conditions] You revoke the [sentence of] evil against them,” (Jonah 4:1-2, AMP)
Sometimes we as prophets think we have prophetic insight to see GREATER than God, but we have forgotten something the heart of God is more than just about you prophesying out of flesh, but it is about blind obedience, love, mercy and compassion something many of us lack, because like Jonah we are so stuck on our own vision and that we don’t understand that this work is NOT just about what you think but it is about saving somebody other than yourself; your own selfish vision!

Apostle Geraldine Fisher has a World-Wide-Social Media Net-Work Ministry. As a Missionary, God moved her into the Office of a Prophet, revealing to her the qualities of a True prophet, humility, humiliation, loving others, interceding in prayer, as she keeps her own life clean to accurately hear from God. Since hearing the audible voice of God calling her to ministry, she’s been called to intercede and pray for others in ministry as God speaks, instructs, directs and gives prophetic words for her to give to others. God promised He would bring her to sit and to learn before great men, all of which He did!
Amazing.
