Faith and Pain
One of my greatest struggles is to understand the healing that does not come when faith is exercised and everything seems to be at a level of faith greater than the size of a mustard seed.
We know that healing is part of our inheritance because it was by His stripes we are healed us.
However many are not healed. The suffering that took place with the 12 disciples is looked at as something to be rewarded and they all suffered to the death except John who is boiled in oil and left to die.
This suffering as part of our trial of faith gets great rewards.
The part I struggle with is PAIN, whether it comes from being crucified, boiled in oil, or beaten to death. Whether the pain comes from cancer or being crucified the brain only sees and feels pain.
It does not distinguish between the two and say, “Oh you only suffered from cancer pain or you only suffered from being burned alive, so that really doesn’t count.”
Pain is pain and we are rewarded for the pain we endure without compromising our faith, whether it’s emotional, or physical pain will be the trial that will be tested.
Jesus said, “He that endures to the end will be saved.” (Matthew 24:13). So it’s really the endurance of something that is being measured not where it come from.

I am inspired and blessed to read the words that you have written, even when the pain seems so unbearable. I thank the Lord that your fruit is so evident. I pray that the fruit bourne of that crop will be overflowing baskets of Gods love imparted to others. Lord, I pray that Your healing power come upon my brothers body, heart, mind and soul. Meet him where his needs are right now, for such a time as this. I pray let Your healing power and Radient Glory rest upon him forever, in Jesus name Amen!
God Bless you! I often have that same quandary. However, we keep pressing into HIM. I was diagnosed with cancer in 2010. According to the doctors it has metastasized. I keep pressing toward Jesus even in pain.
Thank you for being authentic! God bless you as you work in his Kingdom, for his purpose and in his time.
Your “flesh” is indeed suffering and enduring the pain…
However the spirit is being renewed daily!!! 2 Corinthians 4:16… Blessings and peace to you!!!
God bless you Jim!!!
