Faith and Hope in Peace and Safety?
“For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape,” 1 Thessalonians 5:3.
When people put their faith and hope in the safety of what is around them then soon they find out that this is futile.
We must never put our trust and hope in military might or anything that man can give us.
And actually, I believe that it is a spiritual principle that when all is seemingly going well, that then destruction will come.
The birds and the animals of the field and the forest know when trouble is coming.
It has been proven that even right before an earthquake is about to erupt, that there is a sudden display of thousands of birds in the air, all circling and taking flight, so as to escape what is coming.
And yet, man seems to be totally unaware of these things. Oftentimes he is dumb-founded when suddenly war erupts around him.
He would be wise to be alerted as those in nature are. But you see, the birds of the air don’t know of the affairs of man. They have no reason to put their faith and trust in armaments or weaponry.
Much of the world is at a boiling point, and any minute now certain countries can make their first move towards war.
Those chess pieces on the board are moving into position, and with the next move an important piece could very well be captured.
So don’t get lax in trusting when a false peace is seen, but rather know that hidden behind it are strategies and principles at work that may well erupt at any time.
Selah,

Stephen Hanson of In His Truth Ministries came to the LORD is a special way in 1975 and has prophesied regularly since. In these end-time birthing pangs we are reminded that judgment must first begin with the household of God. Will we be prepared and ready?
