Face down, Hands OPEN!
“And it was so, that when Solomon had made an end of praying all this prayer and supplication unto the LORD, he arose from before the altar of the LORD, from kneeling on his knees with his hands spread up to heaven” 1 Kings 8:54 .
Get on your knees, face down and pray with OPEN HANDS facing Heaven! There are 3 reasons for this…
-
To surrender/let go what you’ve been dealing with, unto God.
-
To be ready to receive from God… good,”bad” and indifferent and in it all, knowing that God’s glory is being made with it in you! (Jeremiah 29:11)
-
Bowing your heads to the ground and resting on your knees, tells God that you know He IS worthy of your total submission unto Him and that you acknowledge His holiness and glory.
It also reflects, how one understands that they’re not worthy to stand in such an holy, pure and excellent presence, but by the grace of God and His mercy, God allows it to take place to do it.
To get on your knees, bow your head and open your hands, speaks volumes to God! It also says that you know how minuscule you are to God, that He is over you in all things and that you are giving Him complete control over your life to have His way in you, to bless you, fill you, touch and restore you and so much more. It’s such an effective and powerful way to give God praise and worship.
When you get on the ground to surrender unto God in this way, God takes notice of your submission especially if you’ve not done it before. It tells God, that you realize that He’s worth every ounce of your spirit, soul and flesh coming into agreement to go down to the ground for.
Many say you can pray any way you’d like as long as it’s to The Lord, and in PART, that’s true… Yes, you can pray while standing up or slouched over, head facing straight up and hands clasped tight together, which is the opposite of letting go of self and receiving from God and if the opposite works for you, so be it.
However, take the example of King Solomon in whom was the wisest and wealthiest Leader recorded in History. Take notice of the level of intimacy King Solomon had through his heart unto God to do such a thing!!
Would it really hurt to take notice of such a powerful example, in how he positioned himself humbly & yet boldly in prayer?
JESUS taught us HOW to pray (Matthew 6:5-15), King Solomon gave the example in HOW to approach God in it. Would it be so painful a task, to try?
I encourage you now, to do so…you’ll not regret it.
“Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will exalt you” James 4:10.
“But he gives more grace. Therefore it says, “God opposes the proud, but gives grace to the humble.”” James 4:6.
“If my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land” 2 Chronicles 7:14.

Apostle Jennifer Hobbs is a non-traditional, remnant co-founder and co-leader of Whole Armour of God Ministries International. This ministry, based out of Northeastern Pennsylvania, seeks to not only help bring healing and deliverance through the guidance of the Holy Ghost, while also building churches (people) in accordance to Matthew 16:16-18. The ministry specializes in not only deliverance but demonology as well; with an understanding of the principles and principalities that rule this world (Ephesians 6:10-20) and how to best defeat them in Jesus’ name. The ministry has been blessed to be operating under the Apostolic and Prophetic anointing with signs and wonders following (Mark 16:17), with the ultimate goal of lifting up the name of Jesus and proclaiming the Gospel accordingly (Ezekiel 2, 2 Corinthians 12:12).
1 Peter 5:6-7 (NKJV)
Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time, casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.
