The Eyes Of The Spirit
“I saw also the LORD sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up, and his train filled the temple.” Isaiah 6:1.
Some would suggest that this was some kind of vision. Perhaps it was a dream. He didn’t really see the LORD. Then we just need to read on.
“The prophet exclaimed, “Woe is me!” For I am undone, because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips: for mine eyes have seen the King, the LORD of hosts,” Isaiah 6:5.
There is a question that is asked of us in this hour: “What have you seen?”
Dreams and visions, were to be a part of Joel’s prophecy, about the outpouring of God’s Spirit in the last days. The modern church will never convince many of us, that these things weren’t much more prevalent in the earlier days of the church here. They were.
If anyone mentions such Spiritual operations in our time they are likely looked upon with suspicion and disregard. Why is that?
In our own selves, we cannot know the things of the Spirit. That’s right, because they are spiritually discerned.
Let us say again, that discernment, is a part of the baptism of the Holy Ghost. It’s built in. According to the apostles, the depth of such, will be decided by just how much we exercise it, or use it. When we were truly born again and filled with the Spirit, we were given a set of tools. We would know things and see things, in the Spirit. Not with the natural eye.
What would likely cause many to squirm a bit and feel exposed and uncomfortable, is this. There were many who sat upon benches and platforms and who could see things.
They knew when something was of the flesh and not of the Spirit.
They could see it and they could also feel it. It was not always through a gift of the Spirit. Their own spiritual senses could read things as they were. It came from those who had the earnest desire, to follow the leading of the Holy Ghost.
By fasting, praying and studying His Word, we became more acute.
The men and women of God in the Old Testament, saw things. It cannot be denied. They actually saw it; when others could not.
And so it was in the New Testament. But none of it was seen through the eyes of carnal men. It was the Spirit, who made them able to see.
Many today are seeing things in the Holy Ghost. It simply does not matter what others say or think; they just do. And with a great disappointment for the evil one and those who live only in the flesh, there are many more of such folk than most think there are.
It does not take a great deal of education or worldly knowledge to see that certain things are transpiring now, all over the world. It is happening just like it was prophesied and just like it was written.
But it takes the Spirit and His enlightenment to see and understand what is behind it all; and where it’s all going.
The Holy Ghost, was to be our guide. Can we visualize what the outcome is, when those passing through a weary land, don’t follow the guide, the leader? If everyone follows their own direction, the whole party will get lost.
One might ask, what does all of this have to do with today?
In some ways, one might say that we are entering into a different dimension. We are seeing things revealed and manifested in ways most of us have never encountered before; not to this extent.
If we do not turn now, we are going to be following a wrong path. Things that are coming upon us, will not be seen, or even be noticed.
God never intended for us to walk these paths, without a guide or without any sight. The Spirit can see everything.
Through Him, we can see too.
