Exposure versus Loyalty
No one was more loyal to King Saul than David, but there comes a time when loyalty is NOT enough and when God will allow you to bring about exposure when he sees you cannot take running any more! Just as he did David!
You notice David ran from King Saul as much as he could and he was both respectful and loyal to him, but when Saul began to kill the High Priest, David knew that he was out of control and he knew if he did nothing, he was going to be next in line!
“And David fled from Naioth in Ramah, and came and said before Jonathan, What have I done? what is mine iniquity? and what is my sin before thy father, that he seeketh my life?
And he said unto him, God forbid; thou shalt not die: behold, my father will do nothing either great or small, but that he will shew it me:….”
Many folk LACK discernment and their eyes are closed to what you are going through but God has a time for those who are believing eyes to be opened to the truth just as he did Jonathan.
“….. and why should my father hide this thing from me? it is not so .
And David sware moreover, and said, Thy father (SAUL) certainly knoweth that I have found grace in thine eyes; and he saith, Let not Jonathan know this, lest he be grieved: but truly as the LORD liveth, and as thy soul liveth, there is but a step between me and death. Then said Jonathan unto David, Whatsoever thy soul desireth, I will even do it for thee.
The LORD is going to send a teaching anointing in this season and He is going to begin to open the eyes of those people who are following this type of leadership and are carrying a Saul spirit and many are going to begin to see them for who they really are!
You can run but you can not hide it is only a matter of time before the covers come off! Many with a Saul spirit are saying, “touch not my anointed and do my prophet no harm.” But remember, those that are under the David anointing can only run so long and respecting your position and title before God allows the covers to come completely off and God beings to show who you truly are!
It is time for those in leadership to become more God conscious and to realize that God is not and will not condone sin. I don’t care who you are!
Loyalty and faithfulness never gives us an irrevocable license to sin, because others respect us and honor the title and position we hold in office!
Jonathan’s Loyalty to David
“Then David fled from Naioth in Ramah, and went and said to Jonathan, “What have I done? What is my iniquity, and what is my sin before your father, that he seeks my life?”
So Jonathan said to him, “By no means! You shall not die! Indeed, my father will do nothing either great or small without first telling me. And why should my father hide this thing from me? It is not so!”
Then David took an oath again, and said, “Your father certainly knows that I have found favor in your eyes, and he has said, ‘Do not let Jonathan know this, lest he be grieved.’ But truly, as the LORD lives and as your soul lives, there is but a step between me and death.”
So Jonathan said to David, “Whatever you yourself desire, I will do it for you,” 1 Samuel 20:1-4 KJV.
