Excitement in The Church
“Arise, shine; For your light has come! And the glory of The LORD is risen upon you. For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, And deep darkness the people; But The LORD will arise over you, And His glory will be seen upon you. The Gentiles shall come to your light, And kings to the brightness of your rising.” Isaiah 60:1-3
There is great excitement in The Church right now.
There is great movement among the young, among those with great energy to keep up with what’s happening.
The young in particular are being mobilised and motivated to wonderful things — to miracles and salvations, to healings and to restorations.
Sons are being restored to their fathers. Daughters are being restored to their mothers. Grand parents are seeing their broken families brought back together again. There is great rejoicing.
There is another, quieter move going on too. Those who thought they were by-passed, who believed their time was gone, those who believed age had overtaken them and they no longer had a tole to play — these are they who are waking up to find new meaning in the body of Christ, new long-forgotten roles for themselves.
These are learning with great joy the meaning of “they also serve who simply stand and wait”. Their life skills and experience have suddenly become in great demand.
Their values, for so long deemed ‘old-fashioned’ and outmoded, are being valued again. Their faith, so often derided as being ‘fanatical’, is being revered and copied. Their love and mentoring skills are being sought after.
This combination of moves among the young and the not so young is bringing great momentum to the new Holy Spirit driven movement.
Revival isn’t just for some — it’s for ALL who will move with The Holy Spirit. Enjoy it ALL you people.
Increased Anointing
I feel an increase in the anointing. I mean a real, almost exponential increase.
Do you feel it too? Is it just me, or is it generally increasing. Something is birthing!
I believe The LORD is birthing ‘things’, as well as revival, in this hour. I believe He is birthing ministries, anointings, Prophetic decrees, healing, and more.
A ‘double portion’ is being released over the remnant. Oh, this is such an exciting time to be alive and to be of use in Gods Kingdom here on earth.
A whole new concept of ‘on earth as it is in heaven’ is being released. I can see wave after wave of Holy Spirit power being rolled out over The United Kingdom and America.
It flows over the country like honey — affecting every place it touches, and leaving the sweet taste and scent of victory. It draws us to it saying, “Taste and see that The LORD is good!”
Yet there is persecution too. I see Arrests and Prosecution for the most trivial ‘offences’ and I see freedom of either speech, expression, or belief as the butt of politically correct anger.
The coming days are going to test Christians faith — but The LORD is preparing to show Himself to the world in a way that we’ve not seen before.
He is going to show Himself by:
- Healings of extraordinary, medically ‘impossible’ nature including whole limb regeneration and resurrections
- Financial promotion being used for the public good as Christians fund otherwise unaffordable plans
- Salvation of public figures previously seen as infamous reprobates and rogues
- The exposure of bad shepherds and
- Thousands/ millions of Salvations leading to a moral upturn not seen for over a century contrasting with the still unregenerate persecution from the enemy
- The genuine salvation of many from other religions and the LGBTQ community
- Baptism of Holy Spirit at salvation or water baptism
- The emergence of a very large house church movement with emphasis on discipling new believers
- I see the emergence of Christianity from ‘hidden’ to overtly outreaching with new Christians zealously sharing their new faith.
This is the double portion, the ‘on earth as in heaven’ anointing that is coming very soon.
It may not be very visible immediately, but its effect will be noticeable by the year end as the Nation begins to turn away from it’s sins.
No Retirement in God!
As I am on the runway to my next decade, okay….it’s still six months away, the more I realise there’s no retirement in God’s Kingdom.
It has been prophesied over me that I shall serve Him into my 90’s! So, I am constantly amazed how God can still use me/ us.
Age really has no bearing on our ability to serve God, to win the lost to salvation, or to just encourage those who follow in our footsteps.
Samuel was apparently in his teens when he was appointed prophet of all Israel.
Jeremiah also protested his youth when God anointed him a prophet to Israel.
Today, The Holy Spirit is pouring His Anointing on the younger generation — many still at university, some at high school, and a few even younger.
We also read of children, some as young as three or four, moving in the gifts of The Holy Spirit!
Does this mean that, as oldies, we are past our ‘sell by date’, or what does it mean? Absolutely not!
We are the generation to disciple the young as well as the new Christians of any age.
We are the ones with life experiences that enable us to mentor, advise, and guide the young. In a time when Gods focus appears to be on youth, His prophets are, for the most part, in the 40+ age group, with many in the 60-70+ age group.
They actually don’t have the energy of the young. They don’t have that sort of stamina. What they have, generally, is wisdom, discernment, patience, and best of all, people skills!
The older generation also has the skills, patience, and finances to bankroll revival — not forgetting that The LORD has also promised that “the wealth of the sinner has been laid up for the just” (Proverbs 13:21-22).
So take heart, my fellow wrinklies, God still has great need and use for us in His Kingdom — especially now as we come into a season of real revival.
“Who knows but that we were in the Kingdom for such a time as this?” Esther 4:14
~ Chris G. Bennett
Chris Bennett came to salvation in 1962 but didn’t begin ministry until 2007 — a late-comer! Now mandated by The LORD to prophesy and open old wells of revival in the U.K., but especially in Wales. He has also operated Healing Rooms, and worked with deliverance teams, all with his wife, Linda. Happily now doing whatever The LORD asks of them! Founder, with wife Linda, of their ministry The Upper Room Encounter.
Thank you your most encouraging words Chris
I look for you daily in HKP

Chris, I don’t know if you read comments, but you are a tremendous encouragement to 60+ me, who worries God’s promises have passed me by. I look forward to your posts every day. I am regaining a little bit of excitement, instead of discouragement, for what the future holds! Thank you!
Thank you so much. Likewise, your encouragement means a lot to me.
