Everything In The Heavens
Everything You made in the heavens has a purpose
The moon marks the seasons
And chases the sun across the sky
Like a never ending game of cat and mouse
The laws of the heavens were created by You
Only You can bind the chains of the Pleiades or loosen Orion’s Belt
Everything You made in the heavens is for You and Your Glory
You bring forth the constellations in their seasons
You placed the stars exactly so; how many no one knows—
But oh, what a sight to behold!
And You promised Abraham that his descendants
Would be as many as the stars in the heavens!
It is You who made the earth by Your Power
It is You who established the world by Your Wisdom
It is You who stretched out the heavens by Your Understanding
You LORD are the Great Designer and Builder
Of everything in the heavens
Everything You made in the heavens is by Your Hands
Galaxies spin and scintillate in arrays You have deemed
Comets race along the orbits You have set
And shooting stars blaze across the night sky
Praise Him you sun, moon and stars!
Praise Him all you shining stars!
Everything You made in the heavens will cease one day.
You will come like a thief. The heavens will pass away with a roar,
And the heavenly bodies will be burned up and dissolved,
And the earth and the works done on it will be exposed,
And then a new earth and new heavens will come.
Everything will be new, full of Your Splendor
It is You who made the earth by Your Power
It is You who established the world by Your Wisdom
It is You who stretched out the heavens by Your Understanding
