Every Step Brings Me Closer To You
A psalm to praise and sing to GOD, out loud.
Every Step Brings Me Closer To You
Every step I take brings me closer to You
Up the Mountain of Victory
Every breath I take brings me closer to You
Up the Mountain of Resurrection
Oh I will not worry
I will not fear
I will follow You one step, one breath
At a time…
Every thought I have of You brings me closer to You
Up the Mountain of Peace
Every revelation I have brings me closer to You
Up the Mountain of Truth
Oh I will not worry
I will not fear
I will follow You one thought, one revelation
At a time…
For the world tries to tell me
I am going the wrong direction
For the world tries to convince me
I am following an illusion
For when the going gets tough
It wants me to fold and give up
But I know even when it seems like
I’m going against the grain
You are with me saying,
“I AM more than enough.
I AM where you belong.”
Every morning I wake, I wake up closer to You
Up the Mountain of Hope
Every evening I rest, I rest closer in You
Up the Mountain of Restoration
Oh I will not worry
I will not fear
I will follow You one hope, one restoration
At a time…
For the world tries to tell me
I am going the wrong direction
For the world tries to convince me
I am following an illusion
For when the going gets tough
It wants me to fold and give up
But I know even when it seems like
I’m going against the grain
You are with me saying,
“I AM more than enough.
I AM where you belong.”
“I AM more than enough.
I AM where you belong.
I AM more than enough.
I AM where you belong.
Up on My Mountain surrounded in My Glory!”
Every prayer I say, I draw closer to You
Every fire I walk through, I walk closer with You
Every minute of every hour of every day
Your Will is drawing me closer to You
Up the Mountain of Your Holy Habitation
My steps in step with Yours
Leaving the world behind
One step at a time
“I AM more than enough.
I AM where you belong.
I AM more than enough.
I AM where you belong.
Up on My Mountain surrounded in My Glory!”
Oh I will not worry
I will not fear
I will follow You one step, one breath
One thought, one revelation
One hope, one restoration
At a time—
Every minute of every hour of every day
For You have promised me:
“I AM more than enough.
I AM where you belong.
Up on My Mountain surrounded in My Glory!”
“I lift up my eyes to the mountains — where does my help come from? My help comes from The LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth. He will not let your foot slip — He who watches over you will not slumber; indeed, He who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep. The LORD watches over you — The LORD is your shade at your right hand; the sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon by night. The LORD will keep you from all harm — He will watch over your life; The LORD will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore.” Psalm 121:1-8
“The LORD is my shepherd, I lack nothing. He makes me lie down in green pastures, He leads me beside quiet waters, He refreshes my soul. He guides me along the right paths for His Name’s sake. Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. Surely your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of The LORD forever.” Psalm 23:1-6
“At the time, discipline isn’t much fun. It always feels like it’s going against the grain. Later, of course, it pays off big-time, for it’s the well-trained who find themselves mature in their relationship with God.” Hebrews 12:11 MSG
“But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.” 2 Corinthians 12:9
“As surely as God lives, who has denied me justice, the Almighty, who has made my life bitter, my lips will not say anything wicked, and my tongue will not utter lies. I will never admit you are in the right; till I die, I will not deny my integrity. I will maintain my innocence and never let go of it; my conscience will not reproach me as long as I live.” Job 27:2-6
“When you cry out, will your collection of idols save you? The wind will carry them off, a breath will take them away. But he who takes refuge in Me will possess the land, and will inherit My holy mountain.” Isaiah 57:13 TLV
“O Lord, I love the habitation of your house and the place where your glory dwells.” Psalm 26:8 ESV
~ by Gabrielle Fuehrer
Gabrielle Fuehrer came to The LORD in Spring 2020 and soon began receiving inspiration from The Holy Spirit in the form of Poems (Psalms), meant to praise, glorify and worship our Lord Jesus Christ and uplift the Body of Christ. A preschool teacher, surrounded by the blessings and love of the little ones she teaches, Gabrielle also runs the website, “Imagine a Love Like That“.
“Let everything that has breath praise The LORD.” Psalm 150:6.
Lovely, and so true! God bless you Gabrielle
Dear sister Gabrielle, though I decided to leave this place, to you is my last farewell here. Your selection of Holy Scriptures is an outstanding proof of understanding. Especially this quote of Job. He was called the most righteous man on earth, and nonetheless he was beaten almost to death. His own wife said to him, better leave GOD and die.
A message for all who have prayed for me: I had such a good sleep like I hadn’t since years. I woke up today with new strength and with a song on my mind. The song AMEN by Nikos Politis. Thank you for your prayers !
I Love this. Thank you for posting. GOD bless you Beloved.
