Every Good Thing!
4 Words in 1
Every Good Thing!
Every good thing within me is the product of Jesus living through me.
So if I am to see this world rightly, if I am to see it completely, it is only through His eyes.
If I am to show His compassion and His love, it begins not in my action but in my relationship.
If I am to be effective I must remember that the things I desire in this world, even the good things, are a distant second to one pursuit.
Namely, that is seeking His Kingdom and His righteousness. Only then do I have the capacity to have all these things added unto me.
Jesus, teach me to keep my eyes fixed on You.
Conform my heart unto Your perfect will for me.
Bring proper order that I would not be awash in the turbulent seas of this world.
Turn my eyes up so that when I look out it will be with proper perspective.
You are my everything and though I lose all else, my life is found in You.
I Am — You Are
I need so much less of me and so much more of Jesus.
I am the problem. You are the solution.
I am lost. You are found.
I am dead. You are alive.
I am deceived. You are the truth.
I am weak. You are strong.
I am sinful. You are holy.
I am selfish. You are selfless.
I am fearful. You are fearless.
I fail. You never fail.
I am nothing. You are everything.
The more I live out of the flesh the more I see the traits to the left manifest in and through me. The more I surrender to Jesus the more His traits become evident.
Remember that surrender is not a one time event. It is a daily decision.
When you look in the mirror of your heart today who will you see?
Expressing Ourselves
How we express ourselves says volumes.
This morning I have been considering how much time and energy goes into statements about what we are against. As a matter of fact, we often speak so adamantly about what we are opposed to that we never even talk about what we are for.
So, for example I can say that I am against death but isn’t that understood if I say I am for life?
If I say I am for peace, is it really necessary for me to state that I am against war?
The words we choose to express ourselves both reveal our thought lives and re-enforce a perpetual negative perspective.
The lie is that of seemingly equal but opposing forces. Do we really think that the battle of good versus evil is a fair fight?
So let me tell you what I am for and you can connect the dots if you want to know what I am against.
I am for love.
I am for joy.
I am for peace.
I am for hope.
I am for health.
I am for life.
Our King is a conqueror. When He spoke life, death had to leave. When He said, “Be healed” sickness had to go.
So tell me, what are you for?
Love & Frear
Love is selfless. Fear is selfish.
Love takes big risks. Fear preserves self.
Love speaks hard truth. Fear lies.
Love charges the battlefield. Fear hides in foxholes.
Love says, “Let’s work this out.” Fear says, “Run away!”
Love anticipates the best outcome. Fear foresees the worst.
Love invites intimacy. Fear builds walls of protection.
Love is confident. Fear is unsure.
Love speaks life. Fear waits for death.
There is no fear in love but perfect love casts out all fear.

Wow awesome
Amazing. Thank you.
Jesus is my breath, my life, my hope, my existence, my coming in and going out, my past, present and future. I can do nothing without Him and I am nothing without Him. Without the Lord…I am dead…period. Any questions? He saved my life from eternal hell and that’s the bottom line. I owe Him my Praise, worship and thanksgiving; also my OBEDIENCE TO HIM.
