Establishing His Kingdom
“Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert”, says the LORD. 1
Every valley shall be filled, and every mountain and hill shall be made low, and the crooked shall become straight, and the rough places shall become level ways, and all flesh shall see the salvation of God. 2
He opened the rock, and water gushed out; it flowed through the desert like a river. 3
And He will turn many of the children of Israel to the LORD, their God, 4
confirming the souls of the disciples, calling on all to continue in the faith and that through much tribulation, we must enter into the Kingdom of God. 5
But we should not lose heart in well-doing, for in due season we shall reap, if we do not faint. 6
Strengthen the weak hands and make firm the feeble knees, we pray, O LORD. 7
They who wait for the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint. 8
And those who are wise shall shine like the brightness of the sky above; and those who turn many to righteousness, like the stars forever and ever. 9
You therefore, beloved, knowing this beforehand, take care that you are not carried away with the error of lawless people and lose your own stability. 10
Be sensible and vigilant, because your adversary, the Devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking someone he may devour. 11
John said, “And I heard a great voice saying in Heaven, Now has come the salvation and power and the kingdom of our God, and the authority of His Christ. For the accuser of our brothers is cast down, who accused them before our God day and night”. 12
Jesus also warned us: “Behold, Satan demanded to have you, that he might sift you like wheat, but I have prayed for you that your faith may not fail. And when you have turned again, strengthen your brothers”. 13
The LORD upholds all who are falling and raises up all who are bowed down. 14
The eyes of all look to You, and You give them their food in due season, O LORD. 15
You open Your hand; You satisfy the desire of every living thing. 16
The LORD is righteous in all His ways and kind in all His works. 17
The LORD is near to all who call on Him, to all who call on Him in truth. 18
He fulfills the desire of those who fear Him; He also hears their cry and saves them. 19
The LORD preserves all who love Him, but all the wicked He will destroy. 20
Praise the LORD and let all flesh bless His holy name forever and ever.
Let us grow in the grace and knowledge of our LORD and Saviour Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory both now and to the day of eternity. 21
Amen and Amen!
