Enemies of The Cross
“For many walk, of whom I have told you often, and now tell you even weeping, that they are the enemies of The Cross of Christ,” Philippians 3:18.
Today in this world of great confusion, there are many enemies.
On every hand today The Body of Christ is faced with enemies coming for most every direction. Not only are there evil enemies coming from the most unimaginable wicked places, but there are enemies of The Cross in guise of ‘The Church.’
Many who profess to be ‘Christian in belief’, are really enemies of The Cross of Jesus Christ.
It is not logical to argue that we are able to pay any of the debt demanded for our salvation. Out salvation is assured to us by the fact that Jesus Christ died for our sins — and said it is finished.
If it is then finished — then what is there left to do to secure it? Nothing!
Salvation is not possible by man’s efforts, but we are secured by The Grace of God in Jesus’ Blood.
If Jesus said: “It is finished…” Then it is!
If one then comes and says you must do something now, and Jesus’ Death and Resurrection for sin is not enough…. then they are ‘Enemies of the cross!’
Enemies are coming out and are fully seen today.
Consider these farther verse:
“I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ.
But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed,” Galatians 1:6-8.
The fact is, it is a very serious sin and one which The LORD sees and will definitely judge severely. To mess [change or add to the gospel message] by adding man’s works, is most serious of a sin.
Salvation is by Grace and Grace alone, by The Cross of Jesus Christ. Men cannot add to the Grace Gospel without becoming…. accursed. This makes them definitely enemies of The Cross.
Thank The LORD that Jesus made the payment for sin in full. In definition, this work is called propitiation, in scripture and simply means the completed work of Jesus on His Cross.
To preach anything less is perverting the gospel message.

The only gospel that Paul preached and we believed is written in 1Co15:3-4:” For what I received I passed on to you at first: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures.”
there were two mainly problem that Paul had with Galatians: 1/they tried to ADD observing the law to their salvation AFTER they received the Spirit by BELIEVING WHAT THEY HEARD (Gal3:2), or trying to be justified by law( Gal5:4) 2/they tried to ADD circumcision to their salvation( Gal5:2-11). Because it OFFENDED them( flesh) by ONLY BELIEVING without DIONG anything so that they can BOAST(Gal5:11). After Jesus healed the man who was paralyzed for 38 years, he said to him( and to ALL who have ears to hear TODAY),”See, you are well again. Stop sinning( which is broken the law – 1Jn3:4) or something worse may happen to you.”
What should we do about the law ( commands and decrees )then? first,We DO NOT keep the law to be saved( NO ONE can keep it PERFECTLY – NONE, but Jesus ), “for the man who obeys them will live by them.”(Lev18:5); Second we keep the law BECAUSE we love him (Jn14:21)and eagerly wait to do EVERYTHING HE EVER SAID whether it make sense or not. I pray that the Holy Spirit will enlighten our heart so that we may see and hear and understand, most importantly be obedient to every word of his mouth( his laws, command and decrees). Amen!
