A Word For The Wounded
You are there in your corner
It has become dark and scary
You have been called names and ridiculed
You have been misunderstood
But you are so beautiful
The King sees your imperfections
He sees what is unknown to the world
Those scars you have are beautiful to him
Each one representing your strength, your courage and determination.
The King smiles while others may talk
The King delights in you while others try to judge
The King cheers you on while others say there is no way you can make it
You even in this dark corner
Are carrying such a vibrant Light in this darkness.
You hold the key!
You are that battering ram that will open the door and reveal so much more.
Those who called you a misfit should know the King calls you Royal.
Crowned with his perfect glory and He smiles in all that you are.
From every wound there is a scar and that scar tells a story. A story of strength!
For those that been labeled a misfit, judged by religious prosecutors, those pushed aside and told you won’t make it, those who feel different, an outcast and not sure just where you fit.
Those who have let the opinions of people define you. You try to hide those scars thinking things will never change.
Oh but darlings, it is true as beautiful things have dents and scratches too!
From Where It Is, to Where It Ought to Be
“When the even was come, there came a rich man of Arimathaea, named Joseph, who also himself was Jesus’ disciple: He went to Pilate, and begged the body of Jesus.
Then Pilate commanded the body to be delivered. And when Joseph had taken the body, he wrapped it in a clean linen cloth, and laid it in his own new tomb, which he had hewn out in the rock: and he rolled a great stone to the door of the sepulchre, and departed.” Matthew 27:57-60.
Arimathaea did not care the condition the body was in. Bloodied and nail scarred. He is going to move it from a place of death to a place of resurrection.
One man said, “I’m moving it from where it is, to where it ought to be”.
See, I don’t care how bad you may feel you look.
I don’t care how decayed you feel your life is.
I don’t care how dead spiritually you feel you are, how addicted you are. How messed up or broken you feel.
I am here to tell you that you are so strong and this is not the end of your story.
I am cheering you on and so is your King of Glory!
He will move you from that place of death into a place of resurrection.
That child is moving from death to life! That marriage is moving from death to life. That situation is on the move! The addict, the broken, the ones religion kept bound and feeling condemned is not staying in this place no more, they are moving!
Who is this coming up from the wilderness leaning on Her Beloved?
This is us, the Body of Christ, the Bride. He is taking us out of those wilderness places as we lean upon him. He is resuscitating his Bride with the fresh wind of His spirit!
That place where you feel weary, that place of darkness, that place of pain and hurt, that place where you feel you are alone, I assure you that is more with you than you know.
He is moving you from where you are to where you need to be. You are positioned for resurrection!
