Don’t Let Them Steal Your Thunder!
“Don’t Let Them Steal Your Thunder!”
When I first heard a friend say this, I was so tickled. But a year later, I’m swinging back around to tell you the same.
This is a tough season, I get it…because I’m walking through it with you. But some people are just miserable! Miserable with their spiritual walk, miserable in their marriage, in their singleness, miserable at their job, and just within themselves. And some people are just not satisfied until you’re miserable with them.
So don’t let them steal your thunder! FORGIVE, PRAY, but sometimes you’ve just got to WALK AWAY! And my friend, THAT’S OKAY!
If I haven’t learned this anywhere else, I’ve learned it in ministry. The Bible tells us that in the last days many will be offended, and many will be deceived.
They will be lovers of self, their love will grow wax cold, there will be haters of God, mockers, scoffers, and those with a seared conscious.
They warned us and they told us!
Listen, you ain’t for everybody and everybody ain’t for you. You can’t carry anybody’s cross except your own.
Some people want you to be their Jesus, instead of going to Jesus, and that’s just not possible. Know your boundaries. Boundaries are GOOD because Love has boundaries. So don’t let anybody cross them. It’s okay to say NO.
Remember this: at the end of the day all that matters is that you are where The LORD wants YOU to be.
Now that doesn’t mean that you should wear that arrogantly; search your heart and make sure it’s right before God.
But don’t let people dictate your purpose, calling, nor your ministry. Be encouraged and most of all, be at peace in Christ.
Spiritual food for thought.
