Don’t allow anyone or anything to get you down!
Don’t allow anyone or anything to get you down!
“Be strong and courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the LORD your God who goes with you. He will not leave you or forsake you” Deuteronomy 31:6.
Don’t allow anyone or anything to get you down. God will lift you above your enemies!
Do not think this is from a standpoint of confusion. But in all reality, there are times when people will literally come against you or turn on you for no reason. And this is the truth! Even family and those so called frenemies…
If Christ was persecuted for no reason, then so will we suffer the same at times. But the Word of God lets us know to pray for those who persecute and come against us and those who say all manner of evil against us. David prayed and cried out to the lord about his enemies many times (Psalm 3). And we should do the same.
We should not lose our integrity or get out of our godly character just to avenge ourselves. But instead give them to the Lord and He will fight for us. He alone is our defense and our strong tower! Don’t give the enemy of our soul the satisfaction of a response. Just stay near to God and cry out to the Lord. Give them over to Him and let Him crush them under His mighty hand!
“But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you” Matthew 5:44.
RISE HIGHER AND RISE ABOVE!
“I will lift You up, O Lord, for You have lifted me up” Psalm 30:1.
We can rise higher and above the noise and distractions from everyday life by submitting ourselves before the Lord. The Lord will lift us to higher ground when we come before him and seek His face!
Sometimes you need to just steal away and get into the presence of the Lord. Get into that secret place where there is peace and comfort for the weary soul (Psalm 91). Yes, God is waiting.
When we are looking for him to come in an extraordinary fashion. God is saying to us ..” to be still and quiet” so that we can hear his “still small voice” whisper to us.
We have gotten to the point of being so upset and bent out of shape that we cannot hear and see the direction to where god is trying to lead us! We have to rise higher and rise above the cares and trouble that seems to break us down spiritually. We have to seek the lord while he yet can be found. We have to rise up to his level and the lord will meet us right there at the throne of grace. We have to rise higher in the spirit of the lord and rise above the current situations. When we rise higher and rise above to higher spiritual ground, then everything that’s trying to hold us down, will be under our feet!

God’s Everlasting Love
31 What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? 32 He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things? 33 Who shall bring a charge against God’s elect? It is God who justifies. 34 Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, and furthermore is also risen, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us.
