Watch and Pray!

Gazing means to look steadily and intently, especially in admiration, surprise, or thought.

The Hebrew word for gaze according to Strong’s H7583 is שָׁאָה, Shaah, (shâ’âh,
shaw-aw’) which means to properly look.

In this season, I hear God saying that many are living beneath their privileges, because they are not waiting upon God in expectation!

“Now Peter and John were going up to the temple at the hour of prayer, the ninth hour. And a man lame from birth was being carried, whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple that is called the Beautiful Gate to ask alms of those entering the temple. Not, knowing that his deliverance was about to come through God using these men. Seeing Peter and John about to go into the temple, he asked to receive alms. And Peter directed his gaze (properly looked discerning) at him, as did John, and said, “Look at us.” Acts 3:1-4.

In other words pay attention!

I believe that God is saying that His people are gazing at everything but what they need to be gazing at!

In this season, God is going to grant His people what is called “tunnel vision.” Tunnel vision allows one to focus and to become single-minded on the things of God; instead of the flesh.

The LORD has given you a gift to discern the hearts and the minds of the people in ministry, so that He can use you as a sanctified and set apart vessel of God for Himself in this season!

It does not allow you to become distracted upon things that will take one’s mind off of what God is trying to say, warn, or instruct the people in what they need to know.

But, instead Peter and John’s were eyes was fixed. Their attention was on this man that was at the gate of Beautiful, (not of their own ability; but it was the moving of the Holy Spirit) expecting to receive something from them.

“But Peter said, “I have no silver and gold, but what I do have I give to you. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk!”” Acts 3:6.

In this season, I believe that God is going to cause His people to rise up in an Eagle-eye Anointing to see in the heavenlies, in order to know the heart and the mind of God in this season.

God wants to reveal to His people what they need to know in order to get the work done in this season, because many are not walking according to the wisdom and the knowledge of God, but instead they have allowed the enemy to take their minds and hearts off what the father is trying to reveal and to speak unto them, and because of this, they have fallen prey to the enemy.

“And, so Peter and John took the man at the Gate of Beautiful by the right hand and raised him up, and immediately his feet and ankles were made strong,” Acts 3:7.

The dysfunction which the man had had, became healed and there was no more dysfunction in his body!

“And leaping up, he stood and began to walk, and entered the temple with them, walking and leaping and praising God. And all the people saw him walking and praising God, and recognized him as the one who sat at the Beautiful Gate of the temple, asking for alms. And they were filled with wonder and amazement at what had happened to him,” Acts 3: 8-10).

I believe the LORD is saying to His people, “What have you allowed to cause you to lose sight of the things of God in this season? What have you allowed to cripple you and to cause you to become dysfunctional in this season?”

The LORD is calling for His people to stay and remain watchful in the Spirit of Prayerfulness in this season.

Peter and John were in tune with the heart of the Father and they knew that the man at the Gate of Beautiful had a need, and it was not money, but it was something that was much more valuable and they was there to help him to get his deliverance.

The evidence was in the proof of the pudding, because the man had an experience that demonstrated both the power and the wisdom of both Peter and John, because they allowed the Holy Ghost to use them, and so the man began to walk and to leap praising God for his healing him, and it was because both Peter and John were in tune with the heart of the Father.
