Do You Know Your Own Mind?
2 Words in 1
Few There Be That Find It!
“Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it,” Matthew 7:13-14.
Many today are saying everyone will be saved, and there is again much talk about many being saved….
But Jesus said different.
I think we should note what Jesus said…. and believe it.
Understanding that all who talk are not necessary in the narrow way.
The many professors could very well still be on the Broadway…. There are many who seek and search and are religious, but have they ever left the Broadway?
Do You Know Your Own Mind?
One of the things that the LORD has been speaking to me about is just how far away people are from thinking right.
What He is saying about this is:
- Do you know your own mind?
- Do you know if your thoughts and opinions are truly based upon “Real truth” [bible instruction and revelation]…
Just to consider this. One only need go to a modern church and see just how far people are from real Christian beliefs based upon the Word of God.
The shocking thing is, that many today are like the drunk man who stumbles in the night and falls down and cannot find his way home.
They are like one staggering in a dark room, who cannot find the door!
Why has this happened in the lives of so many?
It is like the teaching in the Book of Revelation about the Laodicea Church that did not even know they were wrong.
There opinion of where they were spiritually was: ‘we have need of nothing.’
The did not know that they were poor, blind, and naked.
In other words, they had a twisted understanding of right and wrong, sin or things not sinful.
Today, in so many, [I speak not of the lost world now, but to those sitting in Churches or declaring they are “Saved”] they have been taught such modernism that there are no longer any biblical Christian beliefs anymore.
The Church of Laodicea was like that; they did not believe in Bible principals any longer, and were blind to spiritual things.
Sadly, it is evident that many today occupying pews in Churches, do not even know true doctrine.
We know this is true when the question arises: ‘What does god think about homosexuality?’ ‘Same sex marriage?’ etc..
The modern “Church” [I use that word lightly] because it is evident many professing to be “Church” are really not a Church at all, but are no more than a club or entertainment event.
The scary part now…..
Oh how easy it is to be caught or captured into thinking like them. The sin that so easily besets us all.
If one spends a lot of time listening to movies, television reports, news reports, documentaries, etc… one can become warped in ones thinking.
Easily it happens, before one really understands that he/ she has changed or picked up false thinking.
There was an old saying my Dad used to say a lot: ‘you cannot go down a chimney without getting black on you!’
It is a truth that many today are products of the chimney’s they have gone down.
If you go down the modern roads of thinking, you can easily become a modernist.
So my question to you is:
Are you sure you know your own mind?
I personally, had to go down a long desert road of some 10 years before I would even listen to God speaking.
I was so religious, that I would not receive truth.
I was thinking anyone who believed that doctrine: baptism with the Holy Spirit would be infested with demons.
I was so bad in my thinking, that I as a minister, thought anyone speaking in tongues needed to be delivered from demons!
There could be nothing farther from the truth, because Jesus said ‘don’t even leave town without first receiving power.‘
The problem was, I went down that religious road of [teaching of false doctrine] that it took God 10 years to get my attention.
I would not even listen, because I was convinced I was correct.
Nobody, not even the Holy Spirit or Jesus or the Father could teach me! I was closed.
But God did stop me short by the desert trail he had me on…. I got into such trouble, there was no way out except to come to Jesus and just listen.
Will you listen?
Good question, or do you think you know it all and that your religion is enough?
Where is your mind?
Are you correct in your teaching or understanding of bible truth?
Are you on the good foundation or are you sidetracked into false thinking?
Sadly, we are living right now [especially right here in America] in a time when preachers or pastors would rather invite someone to tickle ears, than to really bring forth a clear bible teaching.
So where are you?
I personally, have found it most difficult right here in Belen, New Mexico, USA… to get people professing to be Christians, to even come to a Bible Study.
Most only want to just come in for a few minutes of some singing and a little preaching.
But they are too worldly and busy with their lives, to even want to learn.
This teaching may sound like a personal gripe or difficulty I have with people, but let me say to you, I speak of a very real issue and relevant to today.
Scripture:
“And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; these things saith the amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of god; I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot.
So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.
Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked: I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see.
As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.
Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.
To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my father in his throne.
He that hath an ear, let him hear what the spirit saith unto the churches,” Revelation 3:14-22 KJV.

I have posted this teaching word in obedience to the Holy Spirit, my teacher, who is teaching me today.
I have posted what I hear and the things I see to be true, and I warn men.
One must stop and consider His ways to know if he/ she knows their own mind!

Dear Brethren- This awesome & timely Word by the Desert Prophet is a perfect lead-in to one of Mitt Jeffords’ best revelation Words called- “A Man Is As He Thinks”. If you are led by the Spirit, you will not be able to put this Word down, and as soon as you finish, I hope you’ll check out some of his other Words designed for the awakening and edification of modern day Saints! Oh how true the Desert Prophet is when he says- “I was thinking anyone who believed that doctrine: baptism with the Holy Spirit would be infested with demons. I was so bad in my thinking, that I as a minister, thought anyone speaking in tongues needed to be delivered from demons!” I too grew up in a church that taught this same concept! For a deeper understanding of this theme, please see Mitt Jeffords’ Word called- “Mr. Average Christian” which can be found at the link below. The Lord gave me a vision once of a large well-worn dirt road with many ruts that came to a “Y” where it split off & ran in the direction of a dry desert. The other path to the right was very narrow, wide enough for only two to walk comfortably. It led down to a riverside area full of life and greenery, with many trees, grass, & meadows. I walked over to the street sign on the inside corner at the “Y” and wiped the dust off. It read- “Broadway”. I then looked across the street at the narrow path, and the street sign there said- “Lovers Lane”! God bless you to seek deeper. rick https://notjustnotes.ws/mittjeffords.htm

Your vision is not contradictory to the message of Pastor Ken. Consider these scriptures..
Hosea 2:14-23 King James Version (KJV)
14 Therefore, behold, I will allure her, and bring her into the wilderness, and speak comfortably unto her.
15 And I will give her her vineyards from thence, and the valley of Achor for a door of hope: and she shall sing there, as in the days of her youth, and as in the day when she came up out of the land of Egypt.
Psalms 1:2,3
2But his delight is in the law of the LORD, And in His law he meditates day and night. 3He will be like a tree firmly planted by streams of water, Which yields its fruit in its season And its leaf does not wither; And in whatever he does, he prospers.
The narrow road that you saw is the wilderness road and it leads to the Riverside of life for to God obedience is the most important thing. A heart that is contrite Loves Jesus more than anything else that the world may offer. It has gone through the wilderness, away from attractions and the noises of the world, it has learnt to look into the eyes of its Lover only and its convinced of the Love of its husbandman. It is the heart that bears fruit in all seasons and withers not.
