Do You Hear What I Hear?
“Said the little lamb to the shepherd boy, “Do you hear what I hear, Ringing through the sky, shepherd boy, do you hear what I hear? A song, a song, high above the trees, With a voice as big as the sea, With a voice as big as the sea”
— a song written October 1962, (Second verse)
lyrics by Noël Regney and music by Gloria Shayne Baker
My child, “Do you hear what I hear?” I hear the prayers (spoken and unspoken) of My people. They are calling out to Me in intercession for themselves, their families and for their nations. With the passing of this year on their calendar, the woes and trials of 2014 seem to be just the beginning of desperate times … so they cry out even more for My hand to deliver.
I am faithful for the fickleness of the fallen nature of man does not alter Who I Am. I AM immutable; I AM constant. I keep My Word. I made sure that My words given through the prophets and My own mouth were written and passed down through the generations. My words will not return void, but will accomplish everything even as I have spoken them. Therefore, I counsel those who are crying out to Me to believe My Word. Take comfort in My words that I have given to you personally and those recorded in the Holy Writ.
“Do you hear what I hear?” I hear a people who are praising Me for My faithfulness even before they see the breakthrough. I hear their praise rise up and become focused worship on the person of the Son. I hear a people who have given their tongues in joyful obedience to My Spirit so He can rend the veil of separation with the fire of their burning hearts. I hear the silence of their souls as they like weaned children sit in the glory of My presence under the weight of My garment. Yes, I hide them in the folds of My garment as I draw them close to My heart.
In this next year, I will turn your mourning into laughter and your tears into smiles. The world will marvel at My loyal hearted ones who I will use as signs and wonders. Be assured that I hear every spoken and unspoken prayer. I also hear the internal dialogue of every heart for the testimony of the heart is more revealing than the utterances of your lips. Rejoice and be glad. I release tidings of great joy and comfort, and grace to finish strong and receive the rewards I have laid up for you and yours. Shalom.
“Blessed is she who believed, for there will be a fulfillment of those things which were told her from the Lord” Luke 1:45 NKJV.
