Do WE Understand what LOVE is all About?
Some of us need to seriously go back and read 1 Corinthians 13, the whole entire chapter, so that we can understand what love is all about.
We are so unforgiving and unmoved when we feel like somebody has hurt or offended us.
We would rather hold a grudge and make somebody pay for what we consider as an injustice done to us.
We forget that Jesus wants restoration reconciliation and rebuilding of any family friends or ministry relationship that has been through trauma by disagreements and arguments between persons.
Do we not understand that love is one of the strongest emotions that was created by God?
How can we have the Spirit of God, but yet we can’t forgive each other?
I often think how Jesus went through all the hurt, pain, abuse, He did, but yet on the cross said, “Father forgive them for they know not what they do.”
He was able to forgive those who had done Him harm, and if we say we have His Spirit, we have the capability of forgiving and letting go of anything that has been done to us by another person.
Learning true love, is really easy when you understand the nature and character of our Savior.
Jesus’ life was a lifestyle of love and forgiveness, and we should be walking in that same lifestyle. Yes, we need some real lessons on love, especially how to love our enemies, pray for those who use us to do good to those who hate us, and bless those who curse us.
Learning how to let go of all those things that were done to us, keeps us from walking in a contaminated love that holds unrighteous feelings of hate, bitterness, anger and unforgiveness.
Love is stronger than death and it’s the one emotion that we struggle with on a consistent basis, especially when that love has been bruised, hurt and damaged by an offense, an abuse or a wound.
Walking in love is one of the greatest things you can do as a child of God!
