Do we measure up to true HOLINESS?
“Thus he shewed me: and, behold, the lord stood upon a wall made by a plumbline, with a plumbline in his hand. And the Lord said unto me, Amos, what seest thou? And I said, a plumbline. Then said the Lord, behold, I will set a plumbline in the midst of my people Israel: I will not again pass by them any more” Amos…7:8.
God is calling and warning us to repent and to turn back to Him! Day in and day out, our times are getting more destructive and more ungodly. We are in times when there is opposition against God’s truth and morality.
Our society is on a downward spiral when everything that is right and moral is considered wrong in the eyes of people. We must make a stand for the word and the truth of God. The line has been drawn and it is time to decide if we are going to serve God or if we are going to continue to conform to the ideals of Satan and the world.
It is time to make a choice. God has drawn the line and judgement against a wicked world is set and sure by the hand of God. We cannot agree with the Word of God and agree with sin and the ideals of this wicked world! Either we are going to measure up to the standards of God or we will come up short when He uses the plumbline to measure us!
It is truly time to repent and to return to the Lord! The plumbline is being drawn by heaven’s measurement for the truth and standard for the Word of God! Either we will measure up to the standard and the truth of god or we will come up short by conforming to the ideals and beliefs of a wicked and perverse society.
It’s time to truly make a choice and there are no shades of gray. Either we will serve the Lord and measure up according to His Word, or we will come up short as the line is being measured. God is calling for true and sincere repentance as well as true holiness. Either we are living according to the Lord’s standards or we are not! No straddling the fence and no being lukewarm (Revelation 3:15-17). It’s either we are hot or we are cold. It’s time to measure up to the true righteousness and holiness. The choice is ours!
A Plumbline: a cord weighted with lead that is used in building to check that vertical structures are true. It is used symbolically to refer to the divine standard against which God, the builder of his people, tests and judges them. It also symbolizes the standards by which God will rebuild His people.

Luke 9:26 (NKJV)
For whoever is ashamed of Me and My words, of him the Son of Man will be ashamed when He comes in His own glory, and in His Father’s, and of the holy angels.
