Do Not Throw your Pearls!
“Do not give what is holy to the dogs; nor cast your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn and tear you in pieces,” Matthew 7:6.
It is also said, “Do not give dogs what is sacred.” Many people ridicule, reject, and blaspheme the gospel and the word of God.
One would obviously learn not to give these types of people the golden nuggets from God. For if one presents these things to certain ones, those nuggets may well just get thrown back in your face.
We are called to be salt in this world to be sure, but one learns very quickly when to shake the dust off their shoes and proceed on down the road. We are well aware of those who come knocking on our doors to present their leaflets and twisted doctrines, but very soon, the door often gets shut in their faces.
One doesn’t keep their nuggets to themselves. When one’s cup is overflowing, the oil and the living waters are to be shared, and not to be hoarded. We are a community, and we are a body that is made-up of many members.
But there are some even within the body, who don’t receive those things from the Spirit. It’s almost like those things are foreign and unknown to them. This is an unfortunate thing, but it is true non-the-less.
Recently I was speaking with someone who was a preacher that worked in the school system. I told him that I also was a preacher and he was surprised to know that. I told him that I was a prophetic minister and of course that started an interesting conversation.
I mentioned about how important it was to “worship the Lord in Spirit and in truth.” He knew of the scripture and acknowledged it, and then I proceeded to mention Ephesians 4:11, but of course he only mentioned, pastors, teachers, and evangelists, because the other two ministries are not for today.
One finds out very quickly what nuggets can be given, and which ones cannot. There are just rudimentary doctrinal types that one can share, and these of course, are only communicated intellectually and not spiritually.
Jesus used analogies and parables quite often, and their word pictures conveyed deep meanings when visualizing them. Certainly a pig or swine, would have nothing to do with pearls, as they are content to just wallow in the mud.
If they happened to see something as beautiful as a pearl, it would very quickly get trampled on.
Selah,

Stephen Hanson of In His Truth Ministries came to the LORD is a special way in 1975 and has prophesied regularly since. In these end-time birthing pangs we are reminded that judgment must first begin with the household of God. Will we be prepared and ready?
