God’s Word Has Full Authority! Study 2

Severe Warning about Tampering with the Word of God

I am one who knows that the LORD does promise all those who come to Him. eternal salvation.

I know that my salvation does not depend upon my works, but upon grace and the blood of Jesus Christ and His resurrection for my justification.

Works did not get me saved in the first place, and works will not cause one to not be saved.

I personally, would rather not mention these verses below, but I must. The reason is, if there ever was a Scripture in the Word that says one could lose out after being saved….. It is this one!

If you want to know what God thinks about anyone who changes or takes away from God’s Word on purpose, then read the follow verses carefully:

“For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this Book, if any man shall add unto these things, god shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book, and if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the Book of Life, and out of the Holy City, and from the things which are written in this Book” Revelation 22:18-19.

In the light of these verses which say that if any man shall add to the things written, then God would….. add to that person the plagues written in this book.

Equally important is that those who would leave out or take away words from the Book. They are told the penalty could be that God will take away his part out of the Book of Life and out of the Holy City and any other thing written in the Book.

Before I took to cutting up the Bible and picking and choosing what I wanted to believe and cutting out what I didn’t want, I think I had better consider this warning.

Yet today, in the modern Church, we have all sort of Bible mutilation going on to the place nothing is speaking quite the same as it used to…

All for the sake of being accepted and liked.
