Do Not Make Mismatched Alliances
“Do not be unequally bound together with unbelievers [do not make mismatched alliances with them, inconsistent with your faith]. For what partnership can righteousness have with lawlessness? Or what fellowship can light have with darkness? What harmony can there be between Christ and Belial (Satan)? Or what does a believer have in common with an unbeliever?” 2 Corinthians 6:14-15 AMP.
I have found by experience [some very hard and difficult times which caused me much trouble and hurt] that I must not seek a alliance with someone who believes false doctrine, or that does not agree with the faith [beliefs and practices].
Let me give you an example:
Some years ago I held a tent meeting in a certain city here in New Mexico and agreed with one of the local pastors to work with him in the meeting.
The agreement was that [his church body of believers] would pay the event insurance for the meeting which was really quite expensive.
This agreement seemed to be most beneficial in the beginning, but before the end of the meeting there was a growing problem with the pastor over beliefs [of the faith].
He would come to the meeting and brought his people of his Church [which was really quite large] to attend the meeting. Because of our alliance [agreement before the meeting begin] he thought he should have the right to voice his opinions — which he did on several occasions.
The pure fact is, this pastor did not believe it was scriptural to pray in tongues. Each evening I would call for all believers who had the Gift of Tongues to come forward and pray before the service. He stood and openly stated: this is not scriptural, nor is it necessary, in order to Pray in The Spirit!
On another occasion, The Holy Spirit told me to preach on hell. This pastor had brought all his young people that night to the meeting and when I preached the message on hell, some 25 of those young people got saved and born again.
Again, this pastor brought a false report saying: you scared them, because they were already saved! He then refused to baptize them in water.
There was also a open spirit of hostility toward my preaching in that meeting, because he said to me: “You are not covered by some denominational group!”
He said I was like a ‘lone ranger’, and not accountable to a denomination, nor was I properly “Sent out with a covering of a group…”
At the end of the meeting, The LORD would not let me leave that town before going to many who had been saved in that meeting, who were members of his Church, and to tell them they must not remain under his authority or pastor-ship.
The LORD said: “Warn them they need to find another Church!” This I did. It was not easy, but I obeyed The LORD.
When I was driving away from that town, I had another tent meeting all planned to begin the next week.
The LORD said to me: “This next meeting will be better, because you have made no alliance or agreement with any unbelieving pastor!”
Wow… I said: “Is it that important?” “Yes,” He said…. “It will not grieve The Holy Spirit because you are free from the unbelieving agreement!”
Many today are grieving The Holy Spirit and causing the division to manifest, by alliance with unbelieving preachers, pastors, or leaders.
Please go back and re-read the above scriptures, to see that The word says:
“Do not be unequally bound together with unbelievers [do not make mismatched alliances with them, inconsistent with your faith]. For what partnership can righteousness have with lawlessness? Or what fellowship can light have with darkness? What harmony can there be between Christ and Belial (Satan)? Or what does a believer have in common with an unbeliever?” 2 Corinthians 6:14-15 AMP.
This shows the great importance of agreement. There are many today who make all sorts of agreements with religious men, seeking only to have a huge number of people coming.
They think: “If I can get these many to stand up with me, we will have success!”
This sort of agreement will bring only confusion, and the results will be hurt, because: What agreement has light with darkness?
It will be better to seek no alliance at all and to separate yourself from those who do not hold to the faith.
Success depends upon it.

I have posted this Word in obedience to my LORD.
There was also a open spirit of hostility toward my preaching in that meeting, because he said to me: “You are not covered by some denominational group.”
He said I was like a ‘lone ranger,’ and not accountable to a denomination, nor was I properly “Sent out with a covering of a group”.
We need only be sent out by The LORD!

Absolutely true Pastor. I completely agree with you. Thank you. God bless.
Amen.

The LORD is our covering.
In agreement with you my Brother.

Thank you. The Holy Spirit told me 20 years ago that He would send me out and if I ever needed papers He would provide them. Religious people have told me numerous times I need a covering and this and that. I told them God called me and He has sent me.
You encouraged me greatly.
