Do Not Forget The LORD
A Psalm to praise and sing to God, out loud.
Do Not Forget The LORD
There’s a land nearby
Set aside for you to possess
It will fill your heart with content
Across the Jordan you must trek
Be of good cheer and praise Him
For He is keeping His Covenant
No matter how deep the river
No matter how high the mountain
No matter who is standing against you
You can be sure of His Word
Keep it at the center of your heart
Remember Him and the good land He is giving you
Do not forget The LORD
And all that He has done for you —
Know therefore, that The LORD your God is God,
The Faithful God,
Who Keeps His Covenant of Love to a thousand generations
With those who love Him and keep His Commandments
Know therefore, no man can stand before you
All the days of your life
Take possession of your land
The LORD goes before you
He will devour your enemies like a fire
He will throw them into confusion
He will drive the kings from the land,
Wipe out their names from under heaven
He will crumble their cities
No matter how strong they seem
The LORD your God will bring them all to defeat
He will accomplish this for you in His Faithfulness
From His Covenant He made with your ancestors
Be of good cheer and praise Him
Do not forget The LORD
And all that He has done for you —
Know therefore, that The LORD your God is God,
The Faithful God,
Who Keeps His Covenant of Love to a thousand generations
With those who love Him and keep His Commandments
Know therefore, no man can stand before you
All the days of your life
He will love you and bless you:
The fruit of your womb and the crops of the land;
Your grain, your wine, your oil;
The calves of your herds
And the lambs of your flocks
Remember Him and all He has done for you
Do not forget The LORD
And all that He has done for you —
Know therefore, that The LORD your God is God,
The Faithful God,
Who keeps His Covenant of Love to a thousand generations
With those who love Him and keep His Commandments
Know therefore, no man can stand before you
All the days of your life
There’s a land nearby
Set aside for you to possess
It will fill your heart with content
So do not forget The LORD
And all that He has done for you…
“Know therefore that the Lord your God is God, the faithful God who keeps covenant and steadfast love with those who love him and keep his commandments, to a thousand generations,” Deuteronomy 7:9.
“Moses my servant is dead. Now then, you and all these people, get ready to cross the Jordan River into the land I am about to give to them — to the Israelites,” Joshua 1:2.
“No man shall be able to stand before you all the days of your life. Just as I was with Moses, so I will be with you. I will not leave you or forsake you,” Joshua 1:5.
“So Joshua ordered the officers of the people: “Go through the camp and tell the people, ‘Get your provisions ready. Three days from now you will cross the Jordan here to go in and take possession of the land the Lord your God is giving you for your own,’” Joshua 1:10-11.
“If you pay attention to these laws and are careful to follow them, then the Lord your God will keep his covenant of love with you, as he swore to your ancestors. He will love you and bless you and increase your numbers. He will bless the fruit of your womb, the crops of your land — your grain, new wine and olive oil — the calves of your herds and the lambs of your flocks in the land he swore to your ancestors to give you,” Deuteronomy 7:12-13.
“Be careful to follow every command I am giving you today, so that you may live and increase and may enter and possess the land the Lord promised on oath to your ancestors,” Deuteronomy 8:1.
“When you have eaten and are satisfied, praise the Lord your God for the good land he has given you. Be careful that you do not forget the Lord your God, failing to observe his commands, his laws and his decrees that I am giving you this day,” Deuteronomy 8:10-11.
“Then he taught me, and he said to me, “Take hold of my words with all your heart; keep my commands, and you will live,” Proverbs 4:4.

“Let everything that has breath praise The LORD.” Psalm 150:6.
Amen!
