Do Not Despise Youth!
The original post from about six years ago, plus an update!
There is coming the great, well prophesied, ‘final’ move of The Holy Spirit.
Many call it the great end-time Revival, the last or Final Revival. We don’t know all the details for certain.
All we know from the prophets is that it is coming, it will have great emphasis upon the young, and that literally millions will be brought into God’s Kingdom.
A Warning from The LORD against any rejection of the new, up and coming, young Leaders who will spearhead the coming Revival.
The LORD says, “Behold, I AM doing a new thing.
I AM raising an Army led by young Generals.
I AM anointing young Leaders who will have three things in common.
They will have an unreproachable personal holiness.
They will have great wisdom and leadership qualities.
They shall carry My Gifts and My Presence wherever they go!”
The LORD continues, “Let no-one doubt — these are My Choices!
Let no-one doubt their ability to do that which I AM calling them to do!
And let no-one scorn their youth!
I AM giving these young Leaders older mentors and advisers, but the emphasis will be on their giftings and charisma.”
“Even so,” says The LORD, “I AM holding them to a higher standard of integrity and humility.
For their holiness, love and humility will be as much their hallmark as their youth and they will show great respect and deference to those older and more experienced than themselves.”
The LORD says to all, as He said through Paul to Timothy,
“Let no one despise your youth, but be an example to the believers in word, in conduct, in love, in spirit, in faith, in purity.” 1 Timothy 4:12
Now the update . . .
I am impressed this morning with the penultimate paragraph about God holding them to a higher standard of integrity and humility.
These are the very things which should be ‘automatic’ in the lives of the rising generation of Generals, but which are, sadly, the most difficult to observe as their lives are lived out less in the goldfish bowl but more in the closet.
There seems to be as much a requirement on young up and comers to fit the mould of young, good looking, fashionable, etc, as there is requirement of anointing, humility, and integrity. In fact the emphasis is more on the worldly look than the Godly Character.
This is why these young Leaders need mentors and accountability from the very beginning.
And this is our job, as the older generation, to administer with love, faith, wisdom, and a very large portion of prayer.
So do not despise their youth, but pray God gives them the character, humility and integrity, to stand up and stand out as leaders.
In awe of the confirmation from The LORD.
