Division, Divided Hearts and Our Identity in Christ
Part of this is a repost, but The LORD has been speaking to me daily about division and divided hearts and the lack of understanding regarding our identity in Christ and our need for each other.
I heard The LORD say, “I AM opening the eyes of your understanding to celebrate your differences and be fitly joined together as you build My Kingdom.”
It’s not my job to manage your love for me, but it is my job to manage my love for you.
As I come to the end of writing my book about the heart, The LORD has put me through countless issues teaching me about myself and others and it has been painful and joyful at the same time.
I am in the process now of being joyful about the shame I have received in life that I never understood.
One major principle I have been taught in counseling training is: “Hurt people hurt. Healed people heal.”
What I have experienced over and over is that people who are the LEAST lovable, are the ones who need love the most.
Also, I have learned that most Christians I know believe the lie that we have to love them, but we don’t have to like them.
Beloved, if we don’t learn that we need one another — and I am to celebrate your uniqueness and our difference — then I have shut the gate to “like” and will never be fitly joined together with you for HIS Purpose!
Don’t harden your heart in relationships… it is not about you!
A hard heart is the beginning of all division.
This picture is about relationship… it all begins and ends in the heart.
Guard your feelings and set your heart to have God’s heart for people.
Is your heart divided?
Are there some people whom you experience a love/ hate relationship with?
Are you hiding behind blame, shame or a desire to control?
Or maybe you just flash a fake smile all the while nurturing hate or anger?
We must stay out of the crawl space of shame and we must not allow the feelings of another to imprison our heart.
Remember: Problems Pass but People Remember. Some things are common to all of us.
We do not know our own heart and God is the only one who can show you your heart. HIS desire is the we be AS ONE.
“I pray that they will all be one, just as you and I are one–as you are in me, Father, and I am in you. And may they be in us so that the world will believe you sent me,” John 17:21 NLT.
HE is pouring in the oil and the wine to heal and restore broken shattered hearts.
HE is opening the eyes of our heart.
HE desires to open the windows of heaven as we cry out, but what good is it if our heart gate has a blockage?
What is your escape plan from the issue in your heart?
You can run from it but it will keep coming to the surface. You can run to HIM…. He is waiting in the secret place to reveal your secret and give you His secrets.
He is your Hiding Place and when you habitually make it your “go to”.. it is your safe place, healing place and place of lasting change.
Are you resisting change? The main change is always a heart change. Climb up higher..incline your ear and your heart and open your heart for real cleansing and change.
HE is looking for change agents… those that are willing to carry His heart to the world that is floundering in chaos and bitter, hard hearts.
We are called to direct traffic and release invitations to those willing to bring heaven on earth. We are to be a heart model and heart carrier for Jesus.
Keep your heart with all diligence for out of it flows ALL the issues of life.
