Distinguishing a Leader
There are many presenting themselves as leaders, who in fact only qualify as followers!
Their greatest ambition is to be exalted over others.
They want the microphone and the stage and everyone else’s attention and adoration.
They see leadership as lordship.
Sadly this is as far as being a true leader, as the moon is from the sun.
A true leader seeks to inspire other leaders.
A true leader does not try and hide what will cause others to rise, but seeks to empty himself out for others to rise.
A true leader has no self-confidence issues. He needs not to be on the platform to feel worthy of his cause.
True leaders are inspired by what they are able to inspire others to become and they willingly and lovingly pour themselves into others to propel them to the highest heights they could hope to achieve.
Maybe its time for you to reevaluate those you call your leaders.
Do they need you only because they need someone to lead and to look up to them to give them prominence?
Or are they truly leading you to your own place of greatness?
Are they seeking followers? Or breeding leaders?
Are they there for the show-off, the title and the crowd of followers giving them relevance, or are they there to be the shoulders that eventually will lift you up to reach your destiny in Christ and in His Kingdom on earth?
