What does it mean to be an under-shepherd?

A shepherd is a person who herds, tends, and guards sheep. And, the word “under” means beneath and covered by.

So, an under-shepherd is one who is beneath and covered by a shepherd, who herds, tends, and guards sheep. And that shepherd is Christ Jesus who sent the five-fold ministry gift.

Therefore He says:

“When He ascended on high, He led captivity captive, and gave gifts to men.”

Now this, “He ascended” — what does it mean, but that He also first descended into the lower parts of the earth?

He who descended is also the One who ascended far above all the heavens, that He might FILL all things.

And He Himself gave SOME to be apostles, SOME prophets, SOME evangelists, and SOME pastors and teachers, for the equipping (means to prepare, train, educate, activate, impart and or train) of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ, (not filthy greed, your own selfish gain or to control and or to manipulate) till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ; (it according to your opinions, philosophies and or twisted theology of what YOU feel a saint of God should or should not look like!) that we should no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about WITH EVERY WIND OF DOCTRINE, by the trickery of men, (Ephesians 4:8-14).

But, I hear God saying instead, “Feed the flock of God which is among you, taking the oversight thereof, not by constraint, (to force or coercion’s) but willingly; (do it because you love God not seeking the reward of man, but from God with your whole heart!) not for filthy lucre, but of a ready mind; neither as being lords over God’s heritage, (as though you are a god, dictator, authoritarian or overbearing) but being examples (role model, an example as a person of standards based upon Christian living) to the flock.

As you can see both order and ranking and honoring authority is important to God: as well as the Body of Christ and how we treat one another!

And when the Chief Shepherd, Chief Apostle, Chief Evangelist, or Chief teacher shall appear, ye shall receive a crown of glory that fadeth not away.

My LORD an incorruptible crown; one that will never fade or corrode!

Likewise, ye younger, (lesser rank of authority) submit ( willfully and do not break rank) yourselves unto the elder.

Yea, All Of YOU BE SUBJECT ONE TO ANOTHER, (obey those in authority for this is pleasing unto God) and be clothed with (genuine) humility: for God RESISTETH THE PROUD, AND GIVETH GRACE TO THE HUMBLE.

Therefore; Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that HE may exalt you in due time,” (1 Peter 5:2-6 KJV).

In this season, I believe The LORD is restoring honor, obedience and true humility in the Body of Christ in order to bring about his plan and his purpose for the restoration of his temple!

And, He is calling for His Bride to get in alignment with leadership and no more breaking rank and dishonoring those that he has chosen!

Many folks are refusing to honor those that god has chosen and they believe like Christ if they dishonor you they will be able to shut down your anointing; especially the religious church!

Just as they (the religious church) tried to do to Christ by not acknowledging his identity or the anointing upon his life but that did not stop him in fact Jesus was a true trail blazer!!

Remember, Matthew and Mark who said that Christ “could there do no mighty work,” Matthew simply has it like this: “And he did not do many miracles there because of their unbelief,” (Mark 6:4-6)

Why? Christ Discerned their hostile disposition, therefore, the Savior decided to limit His activity among them, because there was no need to cram the truth down the throats of those who refused him!

No matter what He did, He was to be afforded no “honor” by these of his own region and even his own kinsmen, (Matthew 13:57; Mark 6:4).

This is why he went to those that valued the anointing upon his life teaching and preaching in other villages.

In fact, It closed the door against the operation of His power. And, so He refused to force Himself upon those who did not want Him.

Tell somebody, “Delayed but not denied!”

In this season, I believe that God is saying that many will be locked out and denied access to the power of God — those whom He has chosen because of unbelief and disobedience.

These folks will believe that they are stopping you, but what they don’t realize is that they are really stopping their own blessings, just as the people where who had become too familiar with Christ and could not accept Him for who He was.

You see, the problem dose not lie within you, but it lies in the hearts of those who seek for a flaw in the life of Christ (those whom He has chosen) so as to avoid submission to Him as well as to sent leadership.

That is why Jesus said that a prophet is not without honor save in his own country, words spoken by Jesus to the people of Nazareth, the town where He grew up.

They refused to believe in His teachings. because they considered Him one of themselves (He was too familiar to them in their own carnal minds and so they missed the time of their visitation!) and therefore without authority to preach to them, (Mark 6:4)

Apostle Paul even said that If I be not an apostle unto others, yet doubtless I am to you: for the seal of mine apostleship are ye in The LORD, (1 Corinthians 9:2)
