Defining the True Calling of Apostles and Prophets
2 Words in 1
Filled With Holy Desire
God’s heart is filled with compassion and brims over with Love towards His children.
He is passionate to have fellowship and companionship with us.
When our hearts are filled with His heart, we have the same burning desire consuming us for His Presence.
We do not only visit His Presence, but long to “dwell under the shadow of His wing”. We are not entertained by His Spirit’s works of Power, but crave deeply to be quenched with His Holy Love.
We seek not His Word only for our comfort or consolation, but as Jeremiah, we long to consume it until it consumes us and becomes His “Fire burning in our bones”.
We find ourselves restlessly “panting” after the only thing we know will quench a thirst too severe for anything else to satisfy — The sweet Waters of His Living Presence — The River of His Love flowing from the cup of our Master.
Defining the True Calling of Apostles and Prophets
(Shared from — “Apostolic & prophetic Insights”)
Evangelists are called to go!
They are supposed to be in the field at all times, being directed by The Holy Spirit in reaching the lost at every occasion, whether in person, in meetings or in outreaches.
They are constantly burning and burdened with the ministry of reconciling souls to The Father.
Apostles and prophets have seasons. They move as the Spirit directs them and when He directs them and how He directs them.
Their seasons are in in alignment with God’s Schedule from above for seasons and times on the earth wherein He accomplishes what He desires in the hearts of mankind.
Their tasks in season may also vary greatly according to The Father’s need. Their task is to wait and to be available to be directed by The Holy Spirit as He leads them to go.
Apostles are missionary prophets, who are sent on a special (specific) missionary journey to establish what The Spirit has prophetically birthed within their hearts.
You will always find apostles as men who walk with God and who are sent to serve The Body of Christ.
You will notice that Paul had no Church that he called his own. None was branded by him either. He simply referred to “The Church of Jesus Christ at Galatia, at Ephesus, at Rome” etc.
The reason was simply because he was an apostolic missionary, a man called and committed to walk with God, not to build a kingdom for himself.
His task was to serve and to minister the heart of The Father to the entire Body of Christ and to establish the full Revelation of Christ in the hearts of his hearers until they all would mature to the full measure of the stature of Christ, into mature sons (male and female)!
Authentic apostles do not commit themselves to any specific Church or Churches, they, like authentic prophets are called to serve the heart of God and to establish the heart of The Father to the entire Body of Christ.
Pastors are called to pastor. Teachers are called to teach. They reach a specific audience, with specific challenges, to whom they minister on a daily basis.
Apostles and prophets are called to impart foundations and to build upon them, and to do so in the global Body of Christ.
