Declarations for today
Declarations for today
Blessings are not just proclamations of good things. They are prophetic words. We speak out not what we see with our eyes, but the LORD’s intentions. We are called to walk by faith and not by sight and we do so when we declare those things which are not yet visible but are yet to come.
Each day we are given the opportunity to bless or curse. Remember that faith is not about those things which have already come to pass or those things which are obvious to the human eye. It is the expectation in what remains unseen and has yet to be manifested.
It matters little what you chose yesterday. Yesterday is gone. What matters most is what you choose TODAY.
Declare with me aloud,
“On this day I choose to bless and not to curse.”
“On this day I choose to live and to speak life into others.”
“On this day I choose to declare God’s good intentions.”
“On this day I choose to walk by faith and not by sight.”
“On this day I choose to be an ambassador of hope.”
“On this day I will watch light prevail over darkness.”
Jesus, I ask that You give me the grace to live out these declarations from my heart. Live in AND through me. AMEN.
What do we have?
We can give generously to the less fortunate,
We can have great wealth,
We can have successful careers,
We can have the finest clothing,
We can have the nicest cars,
We can have great fame,
We can have the most beautiful homes,
We can be highly respected,
We can have an abundance of relationships,
We can have a wonderful marriage,
We can have good health,
We can attend church every Sunday,
We can have a perfect tithing record,
We can have everything we have sough to receive,
and yet in the end we can still find that we have nothing.
OR….
We can have the love of Christ
And when we receive it fully we know we have everything our hearts have truly desired.
There are many wonderful things that we seek in this world and yet all of them combined cannot add up to the sum total of God’s love.
“And why do you worry about clothes? See how the lilies of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well,” – Jesus
“What good is it for a man to gain the whole world, yet forfeit his soul? Or what can a man give in exchange for his soul? If anyone is ashamed of me and my words in this adulterous and sinful generation, the Son of Man will be ashamed of him when he comes in his Father’s glory with the holy angels,” – Jesus
