As I was meditating upon The LORD, He spoke to me how that when ever we lie and use deceit to get what we want in life, we are prone to think that not only can we manipulate our circumstances in life — but God as well!

God most certainly looks and examines the heart and the motives of His People, and in that day of judgement, we shall all give in account of the things we have done in the deeds of this body!

The Bible tells us that Joseph brought Manasseh and Ephraim to his father for a patriarchal blessing. However; because Manasseh was the firstborn, he would normally have received the bigger blessing. But Jacob switched things up on purpose.

It seems like history was repeating itself with Joseph, like it did with Jacob and his own mother, when they switched blessings on him and Essau, because Jacob’s mom Rebecca wanted him her favorite child to become the rightful heir — not trusting God for His Perfect Divine Will.

As Joseph guided his two sons toward Jacob, he made sure Manasseh was on Jacob’s right side and Ephraim, the younger of the two sons, was on Jacob’s left (Genesis 48:13).

But, as Jacob extended his hands, he crossed his arms so that his right hand was placed on Ephraim’s head — and because of this, Joseph began to angrily object. But his father assured him that he knew what he was doing when he did this prophetic act.

In this way, Ephraim was given precedence over his older brother, Manasseh (Genesis 48:14).

The LORD is speaking heavier tonight on how that many are using deception and treachery to get what they want in life the same way Jacob and Rebecca and Joseph did, but God is God, and He will not be outdone in this hour!

No doubt God had made Rebecca and Issac a promise they would have an heir, and the Angel even told Rebecca whom that heir would be, but instead of waiting on God for the blessings, Jacob and some of his descendants refused to trust God for the process.

Because of this, they brought a lot of unnecessary warfare on themselves and no doubt it carried down the blood line as a generational curse!

“Ephraim, obsessed with god-fantasies, chases ghosts and phantoms. He tells lies nonstop, soul-destroying lies. Both Ephraim and Judah made deals with Assyria and tried to get an inside track with Egypt. GOD is bringing charges against Israel. Jacob’s children are hauled into court to be punished. In the womb, that heel, Jacob, got the best of his brother. When he grew up, he tried to get the best of GOD. But GOD would not be bested. GOD bested him. Brought to his knees, Jacob wept and prayed. GOD found him at Bethel. That’s where he spoke with him. GOD is GOD-of-the-Angel-Armies, GOD-Revealed, GOD-Known.
What are you waiting for? Return to your God! Commit yourself in love, in justice! Wait for your God, and don’t give up on him-ever!” Hosea 12:1-6 MSG.

Many people have begun to map out and to plan their destinies, but the problem is, they are being planned based on deceit, lies and deception; as well as manipulation.

But God has another plan just like he had for Jacob, Manasseh and Ephraim. Many times we try to figure out and judge who God should and shouldn’t bless, but God will not be manipulated or outdone, all because of what we think is the best solution for a situation!

Joseph thought he had it all figured out, but God switched the hats on destiny and instead of blessing what man thought should be first, He called it last!

Could it be that a spirit of pride causes one to deter from God’s ways, rather than seeking His ways, because we think we know what is best for us, rather than acknowledging God first in our own life situation, as Jacob, Rebecca and Joseph did?

And, now Ephraim begins to boast,

“Look, I’m rich! I’ve made it big! And look how well I’ve covered my tracks: not a hint of fraud, not a sign of sin!” “But not so fast! I’m GOD, your God! Your God from the days in Egypt! I’m going to put you back to living in tents, as in the old days when you worshiped in the wilderness. I speak through the prophets to give clear pictures of the way things are. Using prophets, I tell revealing stories.” Hosea 12:7-11 MSG.

But God asked a question, are you going to repeat the life of your ancestor Jacob?

It’s time we examine ourselves in this season. Are we using God? Are we manipulating Him to get what we want and those around us no matter the cost?

God, who knows the heart of all men, is getting ready to switch up some hats in this season and those you think shall be exalted, He shall abase!

In the Gospel of Matthew Jesus said, “So the last shall be first, and the first last: for many be called, but few chosen….” (Matthew 20:15).

The LORD is surely speaking, “A host always serves the best wine first,” he said. “Then, when everyone has had a lot to drink, he brings out the less expensive wine. But you have kept the best until now!” (John 2:10)
