David, Where Are You?
When you possess the name of someone in the Bible or you have been told that you have that type of anointing, then there may be times when your life will parallel the experiences/ challenges which that person had.
So that you don’t always experience only the “wonderful” aspects of their anointing, you may at times have to go through what they went through to get it.
Do not lust for another’s anointing. You wouldn’t always want to go through, what they have gone through to attain it, which is part of the package God gives you when you receive it.
This Word is not for everyone. It is however, especially for some who are called David, by name or have a Davidic anointing on their lives.
Read it and decide if the LORD is speaking to you through this Word.
Many have been battling for a long time, but God is releasing the Davids at this time into something new.
But will they meet the challenges of the new and accept what He has for them?
Will they rise to become like David, king of all the Israelites? He, who was feared by his enemies, because they had heard of the God whom he served and worshipped, and His love of David.
The LORD asks, “David, My David, where have you gone? I’ve been searching for you.
Haven’t you heard Me calling your name in the wind?
Haven’t you felt My presence around you? Didn’t you know it was Me?
Have you forgotten the times of long ago, when we sat side by side sharing secrets?
Don’t you remember the times when I got you out of your latest entanglement and you praised My name?
Have the Sauls of the land condemned; persecuted and despised you so often that you feel like David of old, constantly being hunted by Sauls army?
Have you felt rejected by Me and others, because of how you or your loved ones have been treated?
So now you have turned your back on Me, and given up on Me. You say that I shouldn’t have let this or that happen; that I should have warned you and you could have run away or avoided it.
You feel that if I was such a mighty God, then I wouldn’t have let those things happen to you. Everything didn’t turn out the way you thought it would.
Life is not perfect, My beloved. Life is not predictable. Even I AM not predictable. You never know when I will pop up next in your life.
You never know when I will surprise you with a suddenly. You never know what I will do next.
What you did know at one time was that I love you, and will never let you go.
But of late, you have forgotten that and at times, doubt that I AM anywhere to be found or you believe that I AM no longer watching you or care about you.
You have forgotten about consequences. You have not always lived a life of holiness, nor do you always now.
Neither were your ancestors perfect by My rules. They did not live Godly lives at all times.
There are consequences for your words or actions, as well as for your ancestors’ words or actions.
This is where generational curses come from and few if any are ever born without them.
You knew about consequences, and had heard about an eye for an eye, and other sayings or beliefs, but it was only head knowledge.
You weren’t really sure that was how I operated and it never sunk into your heart, so that in many ways, you felt that you could do what you wanted to do.
You didn’t think about that I was always watching you.
So, now you have dug into your cave, and are refusing to come out. You feel as if everything has been taken from you; that you have nothing left to live for, so you should give up now.
Or you feel that you are better off without Me, so you will just ignore and stay away from Me.
Where are your mighty men? Why have you turned away the help I have offered?
Why do you continue to dredge up the past and want to live in it?
Why are you allowing the pride of who you were, hold onto you, so that you can’t advance forward?
Those were the good old days, you say. Why is it gone?
What have I done to deserve this? You start to get up, and then fall back into the pit that you dug, with the help of pride, self-righteousness, self pity, guilt, rejection, and self-condemnation.
These are some of the ones you now call your friends. There are a lot of “selfs” there getting in your way and keeping you from Me.
Have you hidden so deeply from Me that you are afraid to come out?
Have you blamed Me silently, for what has happened to you, but you are afraid if you say it too loud, I might really get mad at you?
And you know you don’t want Me mad at you. So you will keep it tucked away, in your pocket and only pull it out, when you really want to wallow in it or you are fed up with your current state of life.
I say to you, Saul is dead. He is no more. His armies are no longer after you. I AM calling you out of the cave.
I AM calling you into My light. It’s time, this is your season, David. This is your season.
I AM calling you into a greater anointing than what you have walked in. No more are you the warrior and pastor, who took care of the multitudes who came to you, the poor, needy and those despised by others.
I AM telling you to climb to the top of the mountain, to look and see what it is that I have for you.
Jerusalem is waiting for you to enter, to dance your way into their hearts and to praise Me all the day long!
Oh, LORD, you say, I am weary. The battle has been long and hard fought. I find that I even doubt myself now that I shrink back from what I see, because I don’t feel that I have the strength or courage to go on, to come forth into the next battle.
But I say to you, climb to the top of the mountain and see what I have for you that you might have hope and joy restored to you.
That I might pour out strength into your body, that has grown weary over time. Let go of the past, and leave it there.
Do not keep going back to pick it up again, for with it comes the spirits that fought you then as well.
Let it go, I say, let it go! Turn your back to it and walk forward, into what I have for you!
You are the one, who was after My own heart. You are the one who sang praises to Me and played on the lyre for Me.
You are the one who I chose to lead the mighty men. You are the one who became king of all of Israel. You are My beloved.
Stop looking down, do not stumble and fall.
Look up, for I AM here. Look up into My face and see Me for who I AM. Look up and know that I AM the God of Abraham, Issac, and Jacob. Look up and see all that I have for you. Look up for My time draws nigh!” (Luke 21:24–28 (KJV))
“And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the gentiles, until the times of the gentiles be fulfilled. And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring; men’s hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken. And then shall they see the son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption (deliverance) draweth nigh (near),” Luke 21:24–28 (KJV).
God Bless You!
