Last Sunday evening, I was talking with the LORD about this week.

I asked about my date with Him, thinking because of someone’s engagement to speak, maybe we should change the date.

The LORD said, “And who is your date with on Saturday, someone else or Me?”

He of course already knew the answer, but He was, I believe, trying to make me see more than my heart wanted to see.

Of course, I answered, “You, LORD, my date is with You,” and I started, “but …”

He asked, “Are you trying to stand Me up? Are you trying to take away My time with you?

Are you trying to avoid Me? Is there someone you’d rather spend your time with than Me?

Because, you know, I will be there. I won’t stand you up.

I won’t put another in your place. I won’t abandon you for fame or fortune.

I AM faithful and true. I love you, and I won’t let go of you, I don’t get distracted by fame, fortune, friends, family, or anything else.

I AM singularly focused on you. You are my favorite!

I will be there for our date, just as I have been in the past and am always with you.”

He said, “Do you remember how our date got started?”

I said, “Yes, last summer we met with You and decided at that time, to meet, with you, once a month. Then in November, I felt like you said we were to move into twice a month after the first of the year. So after we talked about it, we agreed that we’d meet with you, two specific days a month after the first of the year.”

He said, “Do you remember My conversations with you about your words being life and death, not only for others, but for yourself?

The enemy doesn’t take anything lightly and uses your words, whether they are written, verbal, sign language, body language, through song, or whatever, to hold them against you.

Humans have many ways of communicating and he takes every word or action you communicate, however you communicate it, to try to prove, your sins to Me.

So when you agree to something without My permission, and you don’t follow through, you are opening doors to the enemy, literally through disobedience and lying, because you aren’t doing what you said you were going to do.

You and I both know that sounds legalistic, but that’s the way he is.

He uses legalism against humans any way he can, especially when it involves communication and agreements, because many people don’t pay attention to what they are saying through their communication.

He doesn’t have to have a contract, to try to weasel his way into your life, to try to prove to Me that you’ve sinned, so that he can gain access to your life and soul, so he can torture, torment and harass you, so that you will open doors to more of his followers, the unholy spirits.”

Do you remember a prophet talking about his “dates” with Me? He showed me who He was talking about.

I said, “Yes.”

He said, “Tell Me what he said.”

I responded, “He said that he would have a date with you every Saturday afternoon, if I remember correctly.

During that time, he said he would spend time on his face before you, and spend time worshiping you.

He would get downloads from you during those times, because You would give him revelation and teach him.

If I recall correctly, he said, there were times when he was healed during those times, and that he would get deliverance from You.

You would pour strength into him then, because he was in so much warfare. I believe he said it was a precious time with You.”

The LORD asked, “Do you remember anything else about it?”

I said, “Yes, he said that after a while, he started getting interrupted in doing it, so he wouldn’t get to spend his Saturday date time with you.

Sometimes he would go to speak at conferences, because he felt, that was part of his income.

He would spend time with family and friends for birthdays, fellowship, and whatever came up.

Then he realized he wasn’t having his date time with you anymore, and he repented.

He said, he felt your heart, and your heart was grieved, because You had looked forward to that time with Him.

You hadn’t let other things get in the way of your time with him, but he had. But he repented and he went back to his Saturday afternoon dates, ignoring things that were trying to distract him away from his time with You.

He didn’t do conferences anymore on Saturdays, unless they were at a time when he was available, but depended on you, that you would provide his income in times when he was open and not spending time with You.

He asked family and friends to reschedule events and times, because he couldn’t do things with them on Saturdays any longer, because he had committed his time to You, and he knew you were more important than anything else that was trying to get in the way of his time with You.”

The LORD asked, “Do you think he learned his lesson?”

I answered, “Yes, I think so, because he came back and repented and then continued to have Saturday dates with You, doing whatever he needed to do, to keep his time with you, so that he wouldn’t grieve you again.

He saw Your heart in it and because he loved you more than anyone or anything else, he refused to give up his time with You.”

The LORD asked, “Do you think there was a cost, or a consequence for his “not” doing his date time with Me?”

I said, “Maybe? I don’t know. Was there a price he paid for not doing his date time with You? Probably, but LORD, he repented wasn’t that enough?”

“Do you remember how he died?” the LORD asked.

“Yes, he wasn’t old when he died, if I remember correctly. But, he had a lot of health issues towards the end. I kind of felt he passed before his time. Is that correct?”

The LORD ignored me, and asked, “Why do you think he had so many health issues?”

I responded, “I don’t know, maybe generational curses, or he opened a door, or witchcraft, or there could be lots of reasons. What happened?”

“He opened a door,” I heard Him say. “When he didn’t come for our date, it grieved Me.

It was something we both looked forward to together. Me, because I loved when he worshipped Me and spent time with Me.

He was such a valiant warrior, and that time with Me, was valuable and much needed for him.

For him, it gave him time, when he could rest and be refilled, when I could do work in him, or give to him, without interruptions.

Although I knew he had gotten busy and sometimes let his heart lead the way in some choices, like many humans, the enemy used his not coming then as a type of disobedience, so that he could open a door to come in to cause havoc.

Also, because he wasn’t spending time with Me, he wasn’t getting time to refill, to rest, to be healed, all the things we would do together during his date time with Me.

Because he wasn’t coming to Me, he got exhausted easier, he picked up illnesses and because of who he was in Me, the witchcraft that was frequently against him grew more intensive, because they had seen a crack in the wall around him.

He became so busy in those times, sometimes the enemy tried to make sure he kept busy to limit our alone time, again, so that he wasn’t getting fully what he needed.

I dearly loved him and still do, as he continues his work with Me in the heavenly realms. But I would caution you and others, that as time continues to move forward to the end, the enemy will become even more legalistic, if that is possible!

He is so desperate to win the war, even though he has already lost it. Even so, he will use every trick in his book to find a way into each of you to destroy you.

Take heed of the communication you do with others. Seek Me for everything. Keep your word, do not get involved in things, even family or whatever, unless I have agreed to it.

If you are supposed to be spending time with Me, in date time, to rest, or whatever, be sure to keep your time, so that we can be sure you are refilled, re-strengthened, and everything else I use that time for, with you.

Worship is also essential during all times, as it helps to build up the spiritual wall around you and helps the angels fight on your behalf, to overcome he who seeks to destroy you and those with him.

This will be more important than you know or realize in the days ahead, because of the upswing of the enemy’s activity against you.

I will not forsake or abandon you. I will be there when you need Me. You only need to seek Me and call out to Me.

For I AM Your Everything. You cannot do without Me. I would have you dependent on Me, nothing or no one else. For there is no other you can trust, as you can Me.

Being able to communicate with Me, hearing, and understanding Me, will be vital for you in the days ahead.

Be ready to do this for yourself, as there will be times, when you will not have time, resources, or ability to contact others.

Your life and the lives of those you love, may depend on your communication with Me, and no one else.

Know Me for who I AM. Know My voice and Me in all My forms.

So I would urge you, if you have a set time with Me, to meet with Me, that you not miss it.

You don’t know how important it is for you now, or how much more important it will be for you in the days ahead.

The enemy is like a roaring lion set to devour you. Be alert, and ready to destroy him, before he gets you.”

“Therefore, humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, so that at the right time he may lift you up. ⁷ Throw all your anxieties upon him, because he cares about you. ⁸ Stay sober, stay alert! Your enemy, the Adversary, stalks about like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. ⁹ Stand against him, firm in your trust, knowing that your brothers throughout the world are going through the same kinds of suffering. ¹⁰ You will have to suffer only a little while; after that, God who is full of grace, the one who called you to his eternal glory in union with the Messiah, will himself restore, establish and strengthen you and make you firm. ¹¹ To Him be the power forever and ever. Amen,” 1 Peter 5: 6-11 (CJB).
