Crushed for the Sake of the Call
Sometimes We Are Crushed for the Sake of the Call, and Sometimes We Are Crushed by the Weight of Our Sin.
It is unfortunate that we hear so much about the crushing for the “huge call” on our lives, but little do we hear about the crushing from the consequences of choices made.
This crushing does not mean there is no hope for our souls.
In fact, it means an opportunity for mercy and grace to come rushing in like a flood, and rescue the repentant heart that is broken before Him.
We must cling to Holy Spirit in all vulnerability and transparency and allow Him to show us the reason for our sufferings.
The enemy loves to puff us up with pride, to deceive us, and tell us it is the awesomeness of who we are called to be that has brought about such crushing.
Without a humble heart, we will miss the opportunity to see a possible need for repentance; a time to turn away, to change, to go back to a place on our journey where we may have gone of course, to forsake some things in our lives that will bring an end to the suffering we find presently find ourselves in.
His Word says that when we repent He heals us. That when we confess, He is faithful and just to forgive us and purify us.
He tells us that when we confess and renounce what He shows us that we will find His mercy.
He promises us that when we repent and turn, that our sins our wiped out and times of refreshing will come upon us.
You will produce fruit as you keep with repentance! There are countless scriptures that confirm, not only our need to live a lifestyle of repentance, but what your good Father will do when you genuinely repent; not simply because it’s right to do so, but because every part of your being knows the depths of how your sin, has affected not only you, but Him.
Return to Him, He will return to you! It’s His Word! He is His Word, and He cannot lie!
I believe in every one of you. You are precious and valuable to Him.
To be sure, you will likely go through crushing for His character and nature to be formed in you, that you may see the fulfillment of your destiny. But may it never be, that we neglect the need to spend time with Holy Spirit.
May it become your lifestyle, not to always look for something to be wrong with you that needs fixed, but a lifestyle of brokenness and humility that will allow the Holy Spirit to show you things that grieve Him, and then do something about it.
For many of you, the refreshing that you are longing for, the relief that you are seeking from endless crushing and suffering in your life, will be found on your knees, in all brokenness and humility before your Holy Father.
Allow Him to show you the areas of your heart that He wants to conquer; places you may need to renounce and repent from, and even places you may need to return to where you went off course.
There’s nothing to fear. His mercies are new every morning. He will meet you there.
Are you ready?
“Holy Spirit, am I being crushed for the sake of the call, or the weight of something I need to repent of?”
