Crossover – Seasons of Outpouring
“Now learn this lesson from the fig tree: as soon as its twigs get tender and its leaves come out, you know that summer is near. Even so, when you see all these things, you know that it is near, right at the door,” Matthew 24:32-33.
As I walked through the house early morning only a few days ago, Holy Spirit whispered,
“Come with Me. Look out the window. I want to show you something.”
As I looked out I saw the usual things; sky, trees and my quiet neighborhood.
“This is how it will be. In the Great Day, the seasons will cover over each other.”
He sharpened my focus to see the soft layer of April snow on the brand new buds of the trees below.
Although it was a light covering, I realized it had impacted the trees.
As I continued observing and listening, He began speaking things I had never considered before, and I realized He was talking about the end of days.
“People will be confused, as the overlapping of seasons will be extensive, and they will fear if they do not know Me.
And the ones who do not know Me will fear, but the ones who know Me will look to Me for answers and I will answer them.
At that time, I will pour out My Spirit on those who look to Me and know Me.
There are times when I withhold My Spirit and times I pour out, but in those days, I will do both.
And I will cover those who know Me and pour out on them greatly, so they will prophesy to those who do not know Me; and this will cause those who do not know Me, to Seek Me.
And when they Seek Me, I will not be found, because they will only seek Me for cover.
But when I withhold Myself and they still come after Me, at that time, I will receive them openly and guide them in the way they should go.”
I found myself squinting hard to understand that God would withhold Himself, yet He reminded me saying, “Seek the LORD while He may be found.”
He drew my attention to two birds diving around the trees, alternately lighting, chirping, then dodging, and shaking off the snow.
As I stayed fully submitted to His voice, I knew there was more and that this was an intense and detailed word He wanted me to grasp. I went for my journal and wrote as He spoke,
“And it will be, as the snow covers these birds, I will cover My new flock.
But as the days grow colder, they will look for other refuge and My shelter will not be enough to hold them.
Thus, I will bring them to Me and they will come into My new storehouse of treasures – as they desire more of Me, I will give more to them – for I AM a giving God and willing to give as liberally as you ask.
Apart from Me, there is nothing.
What would you have? Everything? Or Nothing?
It seems simple enough, yet many are deceived, thinking they have much in their hand and wanting more than they can hold.”
At this point, I had a vision of a young person with many small items in their hands and trying to manage many more small items, dropping things and unable to hold onto all they wanted.
Then Holy Spirit said,
“Tell them this – in order to HOLD ME, they need only SEE ME and ASK, and I will give them the capacity to hold Me and all I have for them.
I will create them new and bigger than before – with room to grow.
‘This is the house My Father built,’ they will say, ‘and nothing can come against it.’
Though the winds blow and the rains come, My House is warm, safe and dry. It’s cozy in here. Come on in and stay while!”
As I prayed and meditated on all of this, He led me to these scriptures,
“The sun will be turned to darkness and the moon to blood before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD.
And everyone who calls on the name of the LORD will be saved; for on Mount Zion and in Jerusalem there will be deliverance, as the LORD has said, even among the survivors whom the LORD calls,” Joel 2:31-32 (NIV).
“Surely you will summon nations you know not, and nations you do not know will come running to you, because of the LORD your God, the Holy One of Israel, for he has endowed you with splendor. Seek the LORD while he may be found; call on him while he is near.
Let the wicked forsake their ways and the unrighteous their thoughts.
Let them turn to the LORD, and he will have mercy on them, and to our God, for he will freely pardon,” Isaiah 55:5-7 (NIV).
Urgency Stirring
The God of all creation, even the entire universe and all it contains, desires us.
Wow. Let that sink in a little. He desires us at all cost, and He is reaching to bring us to Him in every way possible.
This urgency stirring in my spirit for almost two years continues to increase as the words I receive continue to shift into a much more commanding call.
In these expressions of loving ultimatums, I believe the LORD is making the choices clear.
In this time of turmoil and deceptive spirits, He is especially direct and wants us to be certain in our understanding of one thing.
This is our choice to make. As He knows He has already willingly chosen us; God requires us to choose Him.
I pray you will respond to Him.
When we belong to Him, all He has is ours. Apart from Him, there is nothing.
Everything or Nothing?
What would you have?
