Critical Voices
Saints of God, I’m blown away at how phenomenal the teachings are, as of late, as God continues to unfold “Critical Voices,” bringing an unfound freedom as never before to His people.
As [husband] Rich and I were driving to the gym early this morning, I kept saying how clean it was in downtown Birmingham.
This is usually not the case. However, it seemed out of the ordinary this morning, as all the way from our apartment to the gym, I kept repeating how incredibly clean it was.
When we got to the gym and walked in, the cleaning lady, Emily, was listening to music, mopping the floor, and the scent filled the entire gym, bringing such an invigorating feeling with it.
I think about the altar of incense in front of the Holy of Holies, and how the scent of that aroma, is offered to God, and the smell it must have brought to His nostrils. How amazing it feels, being around cleanliness.
God unfolded to me, that as I’ve been teaching on “Critical Voices,” that I’ve been cleansing my garments.
We see this prophecy in the Old Testament of being clothed in Christ, in Zechariah 3,
“And He spoke to those who stood before Him, saying, Take away the filthy garments from him. And He said to [Joshua], Behold, I have caused your iniquity to pass from you, and I will clothe you with rich apparel.” Zechariah 3:4 AMPC.
This prophecy is reflected in Romans 13,
“But clothe yourself with the Lord Jesus Christ (the Messiah), and make no provision for [indulging] the flesh [put a stop to thinking about the evil cravings of your physical nature] to [gratify its] desires (lusts).” Romans 13:14 AMPC
This is a great mystery, and only the Holy Spirit can unfold the meaning of God’s scripture, making it known to our heart and mind. Praise God!
To understand this, I submit to you Psalm 1:1-3 and 3 John 1:2, which God had me do a most phenomenal teaching on yesterday. (Video below)
“Blessed (happy, fortunate, prosperous, and enviable) is the man who walks and lives not in the counsel of the ungodly [following their advice, their plans and purposes], nor stands [submissive and inactive] in the path where sinners walk, nor sits down [to relax and rest] where the SCORNFUL [and the mockers] gather. But his delight and desire are in the law of the Lord, and on His law (the precepts, the instructions, the teachings of God) he habitually meditates (ponders and studies) by day and by night. And he shall be like a tree firmly planted [and tended] by the streams of water, ready to bring forth its fruit in its season; its leaf also shall not fade or wither; and everything he does shall prosper [and come to maturity].” Psalm 1:1-3 AMPC
Psalm 1:3 “Seat of the Scornful” is the “Critical Voice.”
The Hebrew word for scornful is lûwts pronounced loots meaning, “to make mouths scoff, make derision, mock, mocker, scornful, etc.”
The Hebrew letters that compose “scornful,” are Lamed, Vav, and Tsade.
Lamed is the ancient symbol of a cattle goad, which looks like a shepherd’s staff with a prick in the curvature, meaning, “Tongue, control, and authority.”
Vav is the ancient symbol of a tent peg/nail, meaning “to add and secure.”
Tsade is the ancient symbol of a fishhook meaning, “caught, desire, and need.”
Therefore, the word picture for scornful is the tongue that has added and secured to it by the thing which has caught its mouth!
This is the issues of the heart; it’s not what goes into a man’s mouth that defiles him, but what comes out. The untamed mouth depraves the entire body. (Matthew 15:11)
“And the tongue is a Fire. [The tongue is a] world of wickedness set among our members, contaminating and depraving the whole body and setting on fire the wheel of birth (the cycle of man’s nature), being itself ignited by hell (Gehenna).” James 3:6 AMPC
God showed me the Vision of this cold cement throne, as the seat of the scornful, where the soul sits enthroned, dangling its hands, pointing fingers at everything and everyone.
It wants to find a way to criticize. The interesting thing is that the Hebrew word for scornful sounds like “loot” with an “s.”
Loot, which means “stolen valuables,” and comes from the Sanskrit word lunth, meaning “rob.”
Do you understand that this is what 3 John 1:2 is referring to?
“Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in every way and [that your body] may keep well, even as [I know] your soul keeps well and prospers.” 3 John 1:2 AMPC
God showed me that many are hindered even in their finances, because of the critical voice that’s become their internal voice, where every negative thought, comparison, insecurity, and the victim mentality are derived, providing excuses to the soul to sit on the seat of the scornful, accusing God and everyone else in their life.
They cannot make progress, and instead invite every assault from hell, with unnecessary warfare, because they’re eaten up with bitterness, a magnetic field to that which is unclean. They don’t know they stink.
As you loot other people’s lives, through judgments and criticism, you’re robbing their joy, peace, and the image in which they’re created, thereby robbing yourself.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. The reason the downtown area looked clean to me this morning, is because I’m clean on the inside, free of critical voices! Praise God!
Beloved, Psalm 1:3, shows that those who aren’t in the seat of the scornful prosper. It shows that they’re in the rest of God, not being robbed of joy, peace, nor provision.
Could this be you beloved of God?
The LORD pleads with you gently in His mercy and truth, to run to the throne of Grace and obtain mercy and grace.
God bless!
