Counterfeit or Real? We Must Discern Properly
The Spirit of The LORD spoke to me a long time ago, “Never throw the Baby out with the Wash.”
Good morning.
Today is a two part message with hopes that it will help someone.
The other part is, we must Fear The LORD.
First this is a song that is on my heart today. It is playing over and over in my spirit man.
HE is a HOLY GOD!
The Fear of The LORD needs to come back to all of us!
“Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear The LORD, and depart from evil.” Proverbs 3:7.
Yes, we are talking about a Holy Reverence, not a cringing unhealthy fear!
God does not play! Yet is so very merciful and kind to us all, sinner and saved alike.
“That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.” Matthew 5:45.
People today have lost much of the respect and reverence of a Most Holy God!
Now moving on, we all know there are counterfeit and real in everything.
As in the natural, so in the spiritual.
Few e.g. You may have a good lawyer or a crooked lawyer. Also you may have a good doctor, or a bad doctor. It goes on and on..
Counterfeit, as a transitive verb means “to imitate or feign especially with intent to deceive.”
In Churches (buildings) and/or Christian fellowships too, there is the real but also the false.
You must know In the really strong Moves of God you will always see the ‘Real’ from The LORD!
Yet, hold on.. you are bound to see some ‘Wildfire’ also!
People often see the false, or maybe it is just just someone missing God at the moment.
Then they get bitter and throw every bit of the good away.
Woe there, as we shouldn’t do that!
You can’t dismiss all the good that The LORD intended to strengthen and help us.
A mature Christian must learn to pick the bones out and chew on the meat. That is where true discernment comes in.
As for me, I dearly love to study on the ‘leaders’ in the moves of God, say the last few hundred years.
God used many to bring Revivals and Awakenings to the Church (the Body of Christ).
Wow, what a Roll Call of faith! Some of my very favorite was William Seymore; Kathleen Kulman, David Wilkerson; Smith Wigglesworth. Also was very Evan Roberts, but oh so very sad his ending. Still what a powerful voice for The LORD.
We can learn from all of them . There are just really too many favorites of mine for me to name. You have yours also!
I usually choose Robert Liardon on YouTube “Gods Generals” to study under.
Why? It’s just my choice as there are many good videos out there. Still for me he very carefully gives the good and how God used them mightily!
Then he feels to expose their human frailties and what set them back many times, for our benefit.
We can then learn from their strengths but also their shortcomings and mistakes.
In the Bible we all know NONE in the roll call of faith were perfect! Still God uses us imperfect vessels!
When a person is ‘false’ better pick up and stay away from that one though!
The LORD calls it to me a glittery, glitzy gospel!
If a person is true they will give all the glory to God and show the fruits of the spirit.
God bless you as you seek The LORD and what is the real from the false.
Walk in His Wisdom and truth. He will lead and guide you through the Holy Ghost.
“Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.” 1 John 4:1.
“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.” Galatians 5:22-23.
“But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.” John 14:26.
