Constantly Changing Lives
Just like my garden trees, our lives are constantly changing.
We humans also experience change in different seasons emotionally, physically and spiritually. Change can be sudden and extreme, or it can come gradually with time.
One thing is for sure: change will absolutely come!
It might arrive as a welcome break from the demanding cares of life, or an unexpected challenge.
Most of us are familiar with the saying, “When it rains, it pours!” Sometimes difficult situations can happen with several events hitting all at once!
It takes a strong heart to withstand these things that can “change” life so quickly!
“Yet man is born to trouble, as sure as sparks fly upward,” Job 5:7.
Thankfully there is a great and helpful solution for troubling thoughts and strained circumstances. Practicing the very real presence of God through prayer, reading the sweet word of God and then thinking about what it spoke to us.
Lifting up our weary heart in sweet adoration in moments when we feel like frazzled messes is a precious sacrifice of gracious praise to the One who loves to hear our voices, or just sitting quietly in His peace can change our thoughts!
Though our circumstances may not change immediately, our ability to endure and our hearts, can be changed.
It happens in the realm of the spirit — where our mind, our will and our emotions function. Talking, dialog with the LORD and embracing the presence of the LORD change everything!
EVERY… THING ! ! !
Practicing His presence and allowing His thoughts to overshadow ours is very healing and freeing!
“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope,” Jeremiah 29:11.
When the autumn season arrives, the apples ripen, leaves begin to change color, the sun sets sooner and the air is deliciously cooler. I feel the crisp edge in the air and joyfully welcome the change of season.
Change is inevitable, but how we respond to the changing seasons of our lives is ultimately our decision and our choice!
“So let’s not grow weary of doing good, for in the right season we will reap rewards, if we do not give up,” Galatians 6:9.
