Compare yourself to My Word, as it is written
I am going to ask you two questions, not to bring you under condemnation, but to make you search out what you really have.
Most American Christians pray a simple prayer and say, My salvation is complete and go their merry way, with business as usual. Some attend a church meeting once a week, but most are too busy to do more than that. TV, sports, video games, computer and social media fill all their spare time. It is unthinkable to spend 4 hours a day with Me. What would I do? they ask. They have no idea about intimacy with Me, and communing as friend with friend.
So let Me lay My word before you to ponder, and see if you are a typical American Christian or if you are missing something.
Does the same Spirit that raised Me from the dead, really dwell inside you? Because My word says, “If the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you,” Romans 8:11 KJV. If you have been sick for years or are dying from a terminal disease, ask yourself, is this verse wrong, or am I missing something?
Consider another verse as it is written; Did Mark misquote Me or did I really say, “He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned? [17] And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; [18] They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover,” Mark 16:16-18 KJV.
Ask yourself, NO! Better yet ASK Me, does this really apply me as an American Christian? If I answer, yes, what are you going to do about your situation? Will you say, Oh Well, and continue with business as usual, or decide you really want to get to know Me?
*** Just asking!
