Commit Your Work To The LORD
A psalm to praise and sing to God, out loud.
Commit Your Work To The LORD
Commit your work to The LORD,
And your plans will be established
Lean in to The LORD
And your life will be complete
Follow His Holy Spirit
And your ways will be watched over;
Your coming and going,
Day and night
Oh where The Spirit of The LORD is
There is Freedom
Fulfilling you with every good thing
Let your work be filled with faith
Giving it all to His Glory
For without Him you are nothing
His Grace separates you from the world
Without it you are dead
Oh give thanks to His Amazing Grace —
His Gift given freely to all
Who believe in His Son
Oh where The Spirit of The LORD is
There is Freedom
Fulfilling you with every good thing
Oh let everything you do be a worship to Him
Oh let everything you say bless His Holy Name
Praise and worship Him through your work
Through the gifts He has given you
To bless those around you
Oh give joyously with a glad heart
Oh honor Him with your obedience
Because where The Spirit of The LORD is
There is Freedom
Fulfilling you with every good thing
So commit your work to The LORD,
And your plans will be established,
Fulfilling His Purpose for you
“Now The LORD is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of The LORD is, there is freedom.” 2 Corinthians 3:17
“Commit your work to The LORD, and your plans will be established.” Proverbs 16:3
“When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth, for he will not speak on his own authority, but whatever he hears he will speak, and he will declare to you the things that are to come.” John 16:13
“And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Helper, to be with you forever,” John 14:16
“And the Spirit of The LORD shall rest upon him, the Spirit of wisdom and understanding, the Spirit of counsel and might, the Spirit of knowledge and the fear of The LORD.” Isaiah 11:2
“The steps of a man are established by The LORD, when he delights in his way;” Psalm 37:23
“Yet we know that a person is not justified by works of the law but through faith in Jesus Christ, so we also have believed in Christ Jesus, in order to be justified by faith in Christ and not by works of the law, because by works of the law no one will be justified.” Galatians 2:16
“What good is it, my brothers, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can that faith save him? If a brother or sister is poorly clothed and lacking in daily food, and one of you says to them, “Go in peace, be warmed and filled,” without giving them the things needed for the body, what good is that? So also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead. But someone will say, “You have faith and I have works.” Show me your faith apart from your works, and I will show you my faith by my works. You believe that God is one; you do well. Even the demons believe—and shudder! Do you want to be shown, you foolish person, that faith apart from works is useless? Was not Abraham our father justified by works when he offered up his son Isaac on the altar? You see that faith was active along with his works, and faith was completed by his works; and the Scripture was fulfilled that says, “Abraham believed God, and it was counted to him as righteousness”—and he was called a friend of God. You see that a person is justified by works and not by faith alone. And in the same way was not also Rahab the prostitute justified by works when she received the messengers and sent them out by another way? For as the body apart from the spirit is dead, so also faith apart from works is dead.” James 2:14-26
“For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.” Ephesians 2:8-9
“The LORD will keep your going out and you’re coming in from this time forth and forevermore.” Psalm 121:8
“Then you will walk on your way securely, and your foot will not stumble.” Proverbs 3:23
“Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change.” James 1:17
~ by Gabrielle Fuehrer
Gabrielle Fuehrer came to The LORD in Spring 2020 and soon began receiving inspiration from The Holy Spirit in the form of Poems (Psalms), meant to praise, glorify and worship our Lord Jesus Christ and uplift the Body of Christ. A preschool teacher, surrounded by the blessings and love of the little ones she teaches, Gabrielle also runs the website, “Imagine a Love Like That“.
“Let everything that has breath praise The LORD.” Psalm 150:6.
Yes Amen. Praise God
Thank you Gabrielle. Just this morning I was wrestling with the Lord about work and while doing my Bible study I read the verse ‘Commit your works to the Lord and your plans will be established’ – Proverbs 16:3 and then this evening I read this, such a timely word for me.
