Christians Celebrating Halloween?!
Every year, at the same time, the same argument rises about Christians celebrating Halloween…
It’s very, very simple saints. Just open your Bible and read the Scripture for yourself.
“For you were once darkness, but now you are light in The LORD. Walk as children of light….. and have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather expose them,” Ephesians 5:8,11.
“The night is far spent, the day is at hand. Therefore let us cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armor of light,” Romans 13:12.
“Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. For what partnership can righteousness have with wickedness? Or what fellowship does light have with darkness?” 2 Corinthians 6:14.
All Hallow’s Eve, also called Samhain, is an ancient, pagan festival originating from an ancient Celtic tradition that welcomed in the harvest and ushered in “the dark half of the year.”
Celebrants believe that during this season the barriers between the physical world and the spirit world break down, allowing more interaction between humans and spirits of the underworld.
Samhain was a mandatory celebration lasting three days and three nights (October 31st — November 2nd) where the community was required to show themselves to local kings or chieftains.
Failure to participate was believed to result in punishment from the gods (demons), usually through illness or death.
The Celts would dress up in costumes resembling animals and monsters to deter fairies (also demons) from kidnapping them. Because they believed that the barrier between worlds was breachable during Samhain, they prepared offerings that were left outside villages and fields for the fairies, or Sidhs.
Because of it’s pagan entities, twice, the Catholic Church made an effort to ban Samhain, once in the 5th century, and then again in the 9th century.
After the second failed attempt, Pope Gregory made the change by declaring the fire festivals as “All Saints Day” which is celebrated on November 1st.
In Haggai 2:10-14, the Lord gives Haggai a riddle to tell the priest regarding holiness. The moral to the story (make sure you read the scripture) is that holiness cannot be transferred, but that which is defiled can.
In other words, you cannot take something that has an defiled or unholy origin, change the name, throw some holy water (or oil) on it, say a few prayers and WALLA! now it’s holy. It just doesn’t work like that saints.
There is absolutely no excuse or reason for Christians who are supposed to be children of the light, to be participating in darkness such as Halloween. And to anyone who attempts to justify any part of it, I will leave you with what the Word of God states…
“God is light, and in Him there is no darkness at all. If we say we have fellowship with Him yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth,” 1 John 1:6.
The People Are Defiled
“10 On the twenty-fourth day of the ninth month, in the second year of Darius, the word of the Lord came by Haggai the prophet, saying, 11 “Thus says the Lord of hosts: ‘Now, ask the priests concerning the law, saying, 12 “If one carries holy meat in the fold of his garment, and with the edge he touches bread or stew, wine or oil, or any food, will it become holy?” ’ ”
Then the priests answered and said, “No.”
13 And Haggai said, “If one who is unclean because of a dead body touches any of these, will it be unclean?”
So the priests answered and said, “It shall be unclean.”
14 Then Haggai answered and said, “ ‘So is this people, and so is this nation before Me,’ says the Lord, ‘and so is every work of their hands; and what they offer there is unclean,” Haggai 2:10-14.

I will just say this: The Lord spoke to me very strongly about Halloween and other holidays…Thus sayeth the Lord: I am not in your manmade traditions and holiday nor will I compete with your manmade doctrine…….I have stated my feasts in the bible…
Woe unto you,who follow in the footsteps of a pagan god.and yet,you have opened another portal of hell…
For those who have ears to hear what the Holy Spirit is saying in this critical hour.
What one thinks as harmless,is the enticing of the deceiver to honor him, satan,as this is one of his highest satanic holy days……
Thank you for posting……This may bring up disagreement but it also brings to light the truth……
Love the word…FEAST. DO we even celebrate those? The feast of Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur, Passover? I know no Christian that celebrates this. These are an eternal feast that will continue in the 1000 year reign with Christ. And What about the spiritual feast that he said come and eat and how he will give us more? Isaiah 55 (but only if we incline our ear to his word). I’ve known strife all my life and how I hate it that we can’t have a spirit of unity and then go to church with a spirit of guile. Let’s not fight on this, it ain’t right. Let it go and next year be prepared to take a stand. How can you be offended and believe Jesus too? God Bless You all. God bless this website, I read it daily.
The Feast of the Lord caught my attention. I love the way you presented the idea. I got the message. Thanks and God bless you in Jesus Name
Thanks for sharing but what about us celebrating Christmas and Easter that both have pagan roots also, but have had their names changed to suit Christians?
hmmm, all these articles on this site and debates are posted? yet all these spirit-filled Holy Ghost led articles don’t get not one amen. not one. don’t be so offended folk.
HalleluYah!!! Shout the truth!!! Let those that are in opposition seek the Word, ask of their Creator and stop debating. Makes no nevermind what ‘we’ think but, what YHVH God has said!!!
For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it pierces even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow. It judges the thoughts and intentions of the heart. -Heb 4:12
Having neglected the commandment of God, you hold to the tradition of men.” – Mark 7:8
I read these comments and it saddens me that there is Christians, bible believing Christians, that defends Halloween!!
“My people are dying because of a lack of knowledge”. When you are actually confronted with the truth, you choose to defend the lie? These are the days when I truly see what the bible means with “the last days deception’.
You believe being confronted with the truth, gives Satan too much credit, well that’s exactly what you are doing by celebrating Halloween, you give Satan too much credit!
People we are fighting an unseen battle: “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers , against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.”,
Can God’s chosen ones not see that? Does the Holy Spirit of truth not reveal these things to you in your heart?
Anton LaVey knew what he was talking about. Remember you don’t have to give thought to the devil, but don’t think he is not thinking about you and how to deceive you daily.
1st Peter 5:8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour
Ephesians 2:2 New Living Translation (NLT)
2 You used to live in sin, just like the rest of the world, obeying the devil—the commander of the powers in the unseen world.[a] He is the spirit at work in the hearts of those who refuse to obey God.
Truly sad..We need to pay for our brethren that are blinded by lies
Absolutely beautiful. Thank you sister.
I believe celebrate CHRIST through our loyalty to HIM & NOT accordingly through the world’s decades of man MADE pagan feasts. PLZ ,STOP giving and wasting time debating unnecessary past present articles.
Celebrate our Savior according to HIS WORD, his promises, HIS grace HIS love and soon RETURNED.
GOD couldn’t careless about these holidays especially Halloween. STOP giving the devil power cause he loves confusion, misery, hate and calamities. GOD is NOT the author of confusion.
Celebrate CHRIST …without acknowledging the devil advocate day..Halloween…INSTEAD go witness to the less, the lost & kids; give them a “Jack Chick” christian cartoon tracts include a healthy treat items instead induced sugar junk food. Detour satan law.
The WORD of GOD ministers NOT to compromise with substitutes, imitations or alternatives.
YOU cannot serve the WORLD & GOD…
Joshua 24:15 New King James Version (NKJV)
15 And if it seems evil to you to serve the Lord, choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of [a]the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”
Some churches, pastors AND christians fallen because of fear, greed compromising the GOSPEL.
THANK YOU SISTER Mena FOR this MESSAGE✔☝
So dressing my kids up in cute costumes and having them go get candy is worshiping the devil? All of this talk is giving the devil way too much credit. What if we decided to take our Focus off of what the devil is doing and put our eyes on Jesus. Personally I could care less what the devil is going because he who is in me is greater than he who is in the world. The devil isn’t even worthy me giving thought to.
Witches cast spells over that candy. Spiritual warfare is real or else Paul wouldn’t have talked about it in Many parts of the New Testament
At Easter, people celebrate the blood of Jesus by eating chocolate. At Easter, church leaders replace the head of the body with themselves. We may think that Jesus is in control of the church, but is Jesus in complete control of the church?
Of course Jesus is in control. The other thing you mentioned isn’t happening that is a lie.
It is very telling of the spiritual condition of many so called believers in Jesus; when you have to post a msg regarding celebrating Halloween. Just reading the quote by Anton Lavey (if one does not read what the Word of God says) should make one pause.
it’s really telling the condition of the church when we have people wasting their time focusing on negative rather than focusing on the goodness of God. The eye is the lamp of the body and if it’s dark the whole body is dark. You can either focus on negative or positive there are both in this world I suggest focusing on the positive.
